You can do this, Willy. Read everything you can on this addiction, it really helps to understand what nic did to our bodies and brains all those years (scary, really) and whst is going on in your body in your recovery.

If I can be of help, pm me.

Let's do this, once and for all!

I relate to a lot of your story. I dipped for (almost) 25 years. I dipped Kodiak until it got too expensive, and switched to Grizzly. My wife really hated it. And I made a bunch of half assed attempts to quit.

Here I am 552 days after my final quit, still QUIT. It's cliché, but it's true ... If I can do it, so can you.

You're through the worst of it. Sure, you're going to be hit with some monster craves intermittently over the next several months. But you have your tools. Make your promise early. Swap digits with your brothers in quit (mine are just a PM away), and reach out when you need to. Remember, a crave usually subsides after about four minutes.

Proud to quit with you!

About me. I have been chewing for 25+ years. Kodiak...and then when that got too expensive I switched to Grizzly wintergreen. I tried to quit a few times...because of the urging of my wife. I always went back to chewing because I liked it. I enjoyed it. But in reality, it (Nicotine)owned me.

I found this site 29 days ago (June 26) and began to read. I flipped a half full can to a co-worker and told him I am done. He didn't believe me.

Here I am, still done. I am feeling better the past few days, but this has been hell. Day 1-3, irritated. Days 4-15, irritated, agitated, headache, short fuzed. Basically an a$$hole. (Ask my wife!!). Day 15-present: most of the withdrawal symptoms have subsided. I catch myself being an a$$ now and again, but not too bad.

I use a TeaZa energy pouch (cinnamon is my favorite) every morning. Afternoons if I get an urge, I have a wintergreen Smokey Mountain. This works for me.

I am in the October 17 Quit group.

Good luck to all! We can do this!!
