So I took the advice and told my wife. Surprisingly it wasn't that bad as she has always suspected that I will still dipping but got sick of asking me cuz I would just deny it anyway. Dont get me wrong, she's still pissed and I got to deal with the whole building back her trust and shit like that but at least she's gonna be supportive and help me out. So glad I manned up and told her. On day 4 and the fog is lifting and staying busy.
Great job, for me the honesty with my wife is the cornerstone of my freedom. It took me over a month quit to tell my wife I'd been a liar our entire marriage, but now she is very supportive. Great job!
I will quit with you today

Good to hear mdaley. I hope she's pissed at you, and puts you in the "doghouse" for the time being. I say this not to be a dick, but simply to keep you accountable- not only with your quit group, but with your wife as well. As you know, we here are battling addictions, so anything that can help keep us from becoming complacent with our quits is a huge assistance. Remember that, what you have gone through/are going through has been hellish, and remember every day of it. you do NOT want to ever have to go through that again, am I right?

Stay quit my friend. I quit with you today.

Welcome! Best decision you have ever made! We have a great community here and we are all in this together. Our system is simple we promise everyday (first thing in the morning is the preferred time) that we won't dip or use any form of nicotine and then we keep our word. Simple and effective.
Post roll
Keep your word
Read and get involved with your fellow quitters
Rinse and repeat
Oh and around here us closet dippers are called "ninjas" I was one, I came clean to my wife, now I am an ex-ninja.
PM me if I can help in any way

Mdaley, welcome to the site. We will do all we can to support you. Post roll call everyday and keep your word.
Now, you need to do one thing for us, it's time to come clean with your wife. I was in the same situation as you are and I came clean, Yes it was tough but totally worth it in the end. You need all the accountability you can get.

Congratulations on your decision to quit!

The initial days of quitting really do suck but all of us have lived through it and so can you! Make sure you have a plan for the weekend. The nicBitch lurks around every corner.

Do all the reading that you can on this site (KillTheCan.org). Information is power when it comes to quitting.

I don't know if this is possible, but I would recommend coming clean with your wife. She could help you with accountability and encouragement but make sure you bring your rage in here and and not on her.

Your life is worth the fight!

Hey guys,

I'm 33 and have been dipping for the last 15 years. Last few years have been pretty bad because I started using snus in places where I couldn't dip. I have been a closet dipper and my wife thinks that I gave it up a few years ago. I have two kids and would like to see them grow up. I'm at the point where I am sick of hiding my habit and dealing with the paranoia of getting caught. I know the toughest part is going to learn to do everything I enjoy (fishing, golf, etc..) without dip as it has been a part of me for the better part of my life. Yesterday was rough and extremely fogging but am looking forward to seeing this through
