Know what sticks out to me the most? Your sentence about being quit and then going to full on addiction again. I think this is the problem. You are always an addict. You don't bounce from one side to another. It isn't something you can turn off and on or escape from. There is no magic wagon to ride. It is something you must know, accept and fight daily for the rest of your life. When that seems overwhelming, remember the concept of one day at a time....just today. Until you get this, it won't work. You won't fight for you, you won't fight for others.
The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who is doing it. ~ Chinese Proverb

this name shit needs to be fixed, a man cannot escape his past by "forgetting" his old user name

anew you were part of my og quit month, but i had no idea somehow that you had been here before that with a different name...you need to find your og name and get this fixed.

anewman,

I posted up two links in the cafe for you to look at- they will bring you to a list of all the people who posted in june and july 2009. Perhaps one of those user names would ring a bell?

Consider this you looking up at my peaking rectum...

GO POST FUCKING ROLL. You know how this place works. You are not new. If those 8 posts are from your prior "attempt" then I see the first thing we need to work on. Its a combination of commitment and using the tools of this site. And its all wrapped up in being a part of the community. Is it necessary for quitting? I dunno. Does it work? It certainly does. You want help, you want support, you put your back into this and start getting involved. I'm not being a dick. I want you to succeed. That is all. Again, don't fuck this up. This is your life. Fight for it. And dammit...yes it is life or death.

I'm not new here. I forgot my username from a few years back. Since then ive gone from being quit to full on addiction again. I'm deciding again for good to release the chains. This time it's for me. So many times in the past I've done it for everyone else but never really gave a shit about myself. I'm tired of being a prisoner to this shit. I don't want to die young from mouth cancer. I read the story about Tom Kern and the hurt he put his wife and kids through because of his decision. Today I will make a stand. I will defeat this. God willing. I will come clean with my past brothers. I will beat this and not look back. Please pray for me and I will pray for all of you.
First, contact an admin to get your original username if it still exists.

Second, I won't pray for you. Instead I'm going to tell you where the power comes from. Go stand in the mirror and look straight in your eyes. Stare. You see the man there? That's the man that has to find quit. That's the man that has to fight. That's the man that's going to get you through this. That's the man that knows what he is capable of. No longer will he be owned by a chemical. He has free will. He has strength.

Don't fuck this up. You know how it works here. We post roll each day. Early. And when shit hits the fan, we look for help from the thousands of men and women that know this pain. Now, enough of this. I'm gonna check that you posted roll today. And if you didn't, I'm coming back here to drop a giant deuce in your intro.

multiple aliases are not tolerated for a wide variety of reasons.

there are no mulligans.....if you've been here before under another name, use it.

just as in life, live with your past and decisions.

If this is your first quit on this board, welcome. read, learn and realize the true sanctity of roll call.

sing out if i can help you.

Oh, wow

I posted roll for you....If you had another name on this site, please log back in under that and come clean as ninereasons suggested. The confession will not only be good for you and begin this quit with integrity, it will also be a learning experience for other quitters.

Hey everyone. I'm back on here again because I fell off the wagon last September. My reasons to quit are the same as last, I want to live, I love my wife and kids and myself, and I'm tired of lying to everyone, myself included. It's time to be a man again, and that time is now!!!
I'm glad for you that you've made this decision. I'm a new guy, but, shouldn't you use your old alias, fess up and face the music with your old group?

The experience of explaining to your old quit-brothers why you caved without their permission would be something I would not want to repeat if I were you. But I'd want every reason I could lay hold of to stay quit this time.
