Went back to work today (day 6).
I started the day by burning my boats, I told everybody I'm quitting chew.
My co-workers were supportive, and I'm sure they will be happy to hold my feet to the fire.
The mental fog was not too bad today, I still lack concentration, but not as bad as before.
The main challenge was triggers and cravings everywhere. I used to chew constantly, especially while at work.
My inner dialog was something like this for much of the day;
nic bitch: "This calls for a chew!"
me:"no"
nic bitch: "Time for a dip!"
me: "NO!"
nic bitch: "Something doesn't seem quite right, you should take a break and have a chew, that always helps you think."
me "Fuck off and die!"
I do feel that I'm making headway though.
All in all, a good day.
