Today is day 76 of my quit.  This time it’s for real and I’m so happy.  The cravings this time have not been too bad because I knew in my heart I was done this time.  I chewed 5 tins of long cut per week too.  The “DipQuit” app has been a nice daily reminder of my accomplishments and reading other people’s stories on KTC.  I’m done forever, no longer a slave to water bottles, listening to my wife lecturing me, my kid asking what’s in my mouth daddy and saving my life.  I pray for strength to anyone reading this that is struggling.

I finally did it, I quit for real this time.  I wanted to announce this to the world and have record of it.  Kill the can is awesome and I’ve been reading it off and on for 2 years.  What’s different between this quit and my other 3-4 attempts over the past 18 years?  I don’t want to die because I chewed and couldn’t man up to chew.  How many around us have to die from cancer, leave kids behind before we make the right choice?  5 cans per week for 18 years and this has been the easiest quit because I know I’m done for good.

Good luck to everyone

Beavergrad,

I am happy that you have made the decision to quit.  The price of admission to this forum is posting roll everyday with your quit group.  You can find your group HERE.

We WUPP

1. Wake UP
2. Piss
3. Post
4. Keep our word and repeat the next day.

Quitting here is done one day at a time (ODAAT) every damn day (EDD).  So get in to your group, post roll and start exchanging digits (phone numbers) with other members to build your accountability and brotherhood network.

I quit with you today.
