King's my last name, but everyone has called me that since I was 14. Appreciate the support.

Had a rough day yesterday, but today was pretty grip free. Went a whole 60 mins without thinking about Grizz. Hitting the Gym seems to crush some crave.

Maybe someone can answer this for me. I've posted to Roll twice, and after I check back in at the end of the day the word (BUMP) is next to my name. Am I missing a step?

Welcome in brother.
You've got great advice so far... I don't really need to add anything more except encouragement. Stick around, get involved, learn, reach out, pm people, text people... Be a PART of this site. It doesn't work from afar. Shoot me a pm bro... Give me your number, I'll give you mine. Lets start building your strong foundation. Rock on...

When you see (bump) or (bumpfix) it is that somebody posted roll at more or less the same time as you. Your name got bumped off of the quit list. You didn't do anything wrong, it happens. WHen the spreadsheet captains see that, they fix it and make a note.
Just check after you post to see if you got bumped or if you bumped someone else.

Keep posting. Quit with you today.

Congrats on making a great decision King. The suck is the worst part of your quit. Nut up buckle down and prepare because if yesterday was bad today will be worse. If quitting was easy anyone could do it and do it on there own.

Drink lots of water, find an alternative (Jolly Ranchers, Lifesavers, Mints, fake dip, seeds, etc.) and work it daily.

Grow yourself a support network. Feel free to PM me if you would like a phone number for a KTC member to contact when you get in a bind.

Welcom King (that rubs me wrong, I'm going to ask you to call me supreme high ruler, if you can do that we can get along just fine). All kidding aside, if you want another quitter to fall back on shoot me a pm with your cell number and mine will come back via pm or text. KTC works if you follow the path laid out in the welcome center.

King, nice job of posting roll. You are in the December 2013 quit group, as I did not calculate your quit date correctly in my earlier post. Keep on posting roll daily, read all you can on the site and power through the fog and craves. Life will get better in a matter of days...and that is a promise!

Hey King, another Texan here about 125 miles SW of you. Welcome aboard. First and foremost, you will need to post Roll. Roll is your daily promise to yourself and all of your new brothers and sisters that you will not use tobacco in any form that day. You will post your name and the number of days you are quit each day in the January 2014 quit group. Each and every day you will post your promise. No exceptions. That is the price of admission to KTC. Nothing more and nothing less. January 2014 does not have more than a few quitters in it right now, as it just opened up a couple of days ago. The reason you are put in January is that will be the month if you join us today that you will celebrate being 100 days free of nicotineÂ…your Hall of Fame date.
Now that you know the basics, it is time to read all you can on this site. Go to the welcome center and that will get you started. Post roll and look up at your inbox (1). That is a personal message from me with my telephone number. Use it when you need to vent, rage or just shoot the shit. Wayne

Introduction - King
« on: September 29, 2013, 03:33:00 PM »
My name is King, I'm from Fort Worth, TX and I've been dipping non-stop for 15 years. I started out at 17 years old playing High School baseball. Fell in love with her from the fist pinch and she's been with me ever since.

I've had 4 breaks in those 15 years, three of them were 90 day, and the last one made it to 180 days back in 2010. Each of those times I knew I was just taking a break and that I'd fall back into it more than likely. The last time I thought I might have had it beat, but a bad day, a few beers, and a softball game and I was back stronger than ever.

This time is different. After watching my 4 year old daughter and her 1.5 year old sister play outside together a week ago, I realized it wasn't fair to them. I've danced with the reaper for a decade and a half and have been lucky, but Im done gambling my time with my kids.

My quit date is 9/22/13. I'm sitting in the Fog at work as we speak. The first 4 days were way worse than what I remember the other times being, but like I've read a few other times on these boards, One day at a time.

Thanks for this site, and any help I might receive in the future.
