Weening off is what puppies do.
'crackup'

How is one more person saying you can't wean off going to convince you to trash the carcinogenic radioactive cat shit down the toilet? I don't know, but let's try it anyway:

FLUSH THAT SHIT AND START YOUR QUIT! 'oh yeah' That's the only way, bro.
So whats the word ThunderBird? You gonna sack up and quit or are you gonna keep putting cat turds in your pie hole?
EMBRACE THE SUCK

If your gonna be dumb you gotta be tough

Are you gonna quit dipping, or are you gonna slide your tampon in?

Weaning is the worst way to quit.

Your addiction is like a monster in your gut demanding to be fed. When you feed it, it immediately wants to be satisfied... But that will never happen. Ever. The only thing that will satisfy that monster is your death. When you try to "wean", you elevate the voice of the monster demanding its fix.

Here's what happens... You start to think that the nicotine is what is giving you satisfaction and a sense of peace and well being. You think it's the nicotine that is lowering your stress. It's not. It's only satisfying the monster! You didn't need it before. Lots of people walk around dealing with life without it. But the monster... Addiction.... Has lied to you. So when you wean you make the voice stronger and make the nicotine look like the "cure". The nicotine isn't the cure

STOP FEEDING THE MONSTER! It's the only way out.

And remember this... When you created that monster, you created it for life. You have to decide to NEVER... For ANY reason to feed it again or it will rear its head, lie to you and make empty promises that will lead to an early grave

I never thought I could quit. Never saw my life without a dip in. Now I look at silly dippers and hold my head up high and perk my chest out because deep down inside, I feel better than them! 'oh yeah' Like you heard from earlier posts, we don't allow users in here because we are all going through shit together and having someone with poison in their body still make shit hell! If you have quit I welcome you. If you are weak, get the hell out. Hope to be here with you and help you along. Day 126 for me. Come join me my friend.

Tbowa, when you are ready to take back your life let us know. While nicotine is still in charge of you, your body, your mind and your life, we cannot help you much. The ball is in your court. Either man up and join our little band of maniacs or continue with the nic and the regrets. Simple.

I feel ok as I am weening off

You feel ok because you are still using.

Weening means your still using and the poison is still winning. The poison has been lying to you for 16 years and is continuing to lie to you. Somewhere there is a quitter in you. Dig deep and find this person. He's the person I would like to meet.

Quitting means you are not using anymore. You are now winning. Your beating this addiction one day at a time. Your taking control and the poison has lost it's total control over you. It means you have decided that you know longer love the poison more than your wife/husband/kids/family and most importantly yourself.

You've heard a bunch of great advice,, what's it going to be?? It's your move.

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

I chew 2 cans of skoal mint pouches a day. Over the last 5 days I have gone through 2 cans of pouches and a can a bandits. I feel ok as I am weening off but still feel dizzy and hyper as I start to quit. Is this normal and am I better off cold turkey? Any help would be great and congrats to all who have kicked the habit. FYI I've been dipping for 16 years.
What everybody else said. Cold turkey. Just do it. You're gonna be dizzy  hyper  all round miserable anyways, so you may as well get it done  over with. It does get better! I promise. But like everybody else has posted, it gets better faster if you're just done completely.

Bandits have long been called Barbie tampons in my neck of the woods. I reckon that is because these little pads still soak up life.

Ditch the stash, nut up and quit like. Beast. Waiting and weening is only delaying the inevitable. It is gonna suck until it doesn't but I personally chose to have a few sucky days and get my life back.

A terrible day without dip is still a great day!

You have received great advice and you have proven quitters here to help you...the ball is in your court brother, quit or quit not?

Welcome Tbowa,

You've already gotten some good advice below, so....are you a quitter?

You gonna dump all that poison and join us? I can promise you won't regret.

Weening, cutting back, we've all tried that it doesn't work. KTC works... if your ready and willing.

When your ready make your way over to the Jan '14 pre-HOF group.

Here is how we post roll:

How to Post Roll

That's what we do here, make a promise every day and keep it, then repeat.

You can quit today right?

Weening off is what puppies do. Are you a little puppy dog? We do cold turkey around here. When you ween you are just prolonging the misery. Throw the shit in the toilet, flush it and get started quitting. There's no better time than now. Get it done and you will get all the support you can handle from this site.

Hi man. This is a no nivotine site. We quit here. We throw it all out, we flush it. And we quit one day at a time.

302 days ago this seemed like the impossible dream. Quit nicotine??? I didn't think it was possible. The people on this site recognized my weakness and pulled me slong through those early days of hell. Sounds like you are experiencing hell anyway - why not go ahead and quit. We only so it for a day at a time. If you are a man of your word, and I'm sure you are, you can throw that shit out and get your name of the January roll. That is your promise to yourself and everyone that you won't use nicotine today. In exchange you'll get the support of the members of your group and so many others. Tomorrow, wake up early and post day 2 first thing. And reach out if you need anything.

But first, get rid of the poison. We dont like poison on this site. It is poisonous.
