You can do this!!! Try to keep your mind occupied and keep on the boards if you need to talk to someone.

By the way, I fricken love Jeeps. My next ride is going to be an army green lifted Rubicon Limited.

I also am a gamer. If you're dipping while gaming, don't game for a while till you can control your urges otherwise as soon as you sit down and game you'll get the urge somethin' fierce. I know. I would game like a madman and dip while I played WoW. So I gave up WoW and sold my account. WoW's an addiction too, so my urges were 10 fold.
True. But I also, dipped when I shit, drove, showered, fucked, picked my nose, was on a conference call, mowed the lawn, played Playstation, etc.

It's not bad advice, but there are all kinds of triggers. You just need to be aware that when they happen, they will happen.

Post roll everyday. EVERYDAY, soldier. It's your promise to yourself, to your family, to us, you will not chew tobacco today. One day at a time.

?All men dream: but not equally.
Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds
wake in the day to find that it was vanity:
but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men,
for they may act out their dream with open eyes, to make it possible.?

Welcome aboard! Damn glad to have you along on our journey! And lots of guys here served. We understand the long hours, the boredom, and that sometimes you're "unavailable". That just the way the shit rolls some days.

But here's the thing - you're quit right now. This site can help you stay quit. Everybody here has been or is going through exactly what you are. You are surrounded by people who really know how you feel.

Here's the second thing - You're almost halfway through the worst part. The first 3 days suck the nastiest ass you can imagine. But after that it gets a little easier, a little better.

You can do this. If I can do it, ANYBODY can do it. And that's the God's honest truth.

Jeepster,
You've mad a great decision. Posting daily at many times will be the only thing that will keep you quit. With today's technology... there is no reason not to post everyday (e-mail, text, call, etc.) Make sure you get some numbers of a quit brother to help keep you quit or to support you. You can do this!
Life takes practice...practice every day!

Welcome to the "Fog" Jeepster. YOU CAN DO THIS. There is not a scenario you can think of that hasn't already been beat up and trounced on that fucking tin can. Use those experiences to understand how to do the same to yours. Read Read Read. Chat Chat Chat. Post Post Post.

Wash, Rinse, and Repeat.

Welcome to YOUR quit.
This website and it's members saved my life. I will be forever thankful to a bunch of strangers with big hearts, foul mouths and legit motivation.

"Girl, I'm just a Jeepster for your love"

Seems you have the sand to quit...for 16 hours, at least. Take this quit by the balls, and don't look back. It's yours, if you want it.

My introduction
« on: June 04, 2009, 02:27:00 PM »
Hello Everyone,

As you can see by my screen name, I go by Jeepster. As many of you I am sure have tried to quit many times, I find myself in the same self infliciting circles of failure every time I try. Now I have decided to join a fine outstanding group of quitters, such as yourselves, to aid in my goal to quit dipping.

Things I enjoy would be 4 wheeling in my jeep, fishing, occasional computer gaming.

I actually found this site months ago when I was looking for ways to quit. It was not until today that I realized I cant do this alone and so I returned to this site and registered.

Its been about 16 hours since my last dip, which was last night. The remaining I had was flushed this afternoon after I registered. I know in all my other attempts I was never really ready to quit since I always carried a can (just in case). Yeup, just in case I thought of an excuse to not quit.

This time, I have no can, I have no excuse, I have nothing but time and so I count the minutes, the seconds, and I start logging my hours.

I am in the military so there may be times where I will not have access to the boards, but I will do my best to stay in contact and be true to those who support, and be true to myself.

Thank you all for reading and I appologize for the length of this post. Please feel free to poke your eyes out.
