Well done is better than well said. Are you quit or not? You know what the difference is between someone who uses dip and loves it, versus someone who uses dip and hates it?

Nothing. They're both still using dip.

Dump your cans and let's get this show on the road. The third of October has come and gone.

I see that Snuffy was online today but did not post again :P . Apparently he is not really too concerned about that sore throat and is ready to dip for 7 years etc.... :P

It is kind of crazy how nicotine can control humans....

Yeah guys, i experienced not as much sore throat but more acid reflux all while dipping. It has only been 48 glorious days of quit for me, but I dont suffer anywhere near the amount of acid reflux as i did when I dipped. Actually hardly any at all. some foods do still trigger it, but i had it virtually every meal for the last 5 years

I was a spitter so i dont think the dip has done any damage to the esophogus, etc... more shitty food for 50 years.

Yes, horrible sore throat. Lived in fear of cancer for months. I had gotten an infection from my teeth because of the damage done from using smokeless tobacco. The infection was in my throat, jaw and headed down my chest to my heart. It's no joke about the damage that this stuff can do to your health. I'm never going back. I used for over 30 years. I was lucky this time. Today is the day for you my friend. Don't find yourself living in regret weeks, months or years from now. Today is your day.
Sore throat or not, just quit this shit before it kills you! You will go through all kinds of symptoms while your body trys to heal itself! Price for advice and accountability is simple, post roll early and every day! I quit with you!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Brother, I had constant indigestion and acid reflux until I quit dipping. I was eating Tums like they were MMs. Now, I have no issues at all with my throat or stomach. However...

Make sure you have other reasons to quit in your back pocket. If you stop dipping and your issues clear up, you still want cards up your sleeve for when your nicotine addiction tries telling you it's okay to have dip in moderation.

You'll have more spending money.
You'll feel like you've taken control of your life back.
No more worrying when you can fit a pinch in.
No more knocked over spit cups.

Whatever your reasons are, make sure ya got a lot of them! Oh, and post roll. Accountability saves lives.

I'm at about 45 days of my quit and have dealt with sore throat issues from the start. It's very strange. some days not much is going on and then other days it really bothers me. I've been going through a ton of menthol cough drops. I think mostly to deal with the oral fixation thing. Sometimes I think the cough drops might be the problem. Not much is posted about sore throat issues so I'm always on the look out for any info. For me I'm hoping this crap will go away soon. Hang in there and congrats on your quit

Snuffed up, you came to the right place. Here we support each other and kick each other's asses if necessary. Every one of us has made the choice to rid ourselves of the poison. The key to our successes is the daily posting of roll. Every morning we each make a promise to ourselves and our group that we will not use nicotine for the day. Accountability and Brotherhood.

We renew our quit every day for one whole day. One day at a time - - odaat

Dump your can, go to quit groups, find January 2016 (that will be your group) and post roll. Or at least tap add reply and post your day one. Then go through and read up and you will get a feel for how it works.

Quit on!

Hey man, I'm only 4 days into this thing—come join us right now.

5 days ago I slapped a patch on my arm and said "enough is enough." 4 days ago I reached down in my pants, felt my balls drop, ripped off the patch, and said, "fuck nicotine." Yesterday, I realized I can't do this shit alone: and I hopped on here and made an intro; I was immediately surrounded by some badass quitters who have my back in this fight. They'll have yours too! Quit right now. Beat your chest and get in the fight.

Why quit the 3rd? Today is much better! Will you return to the bitch once the sore throat goes away? Your just experiencing some of the side effects that dipping gives. I put up with that and worse for 40+ years so I know that mouth lesions, sore throat, loss of teeth, gum grafts, stomach and bowel problems can all be tolerated in order to satisfy that addiction.
Put your name on the January roll now and quit with the rest of us addicts.

Hi snuff, I am four weeks quit. I haven't had a sore throat but I still have numbness in my tongue and mouth. I'm a 35 year user here so that is what you have to look forward to if you do not have the will to quit now.

If you would like to quit with us here at KTC read the welcome center area here.

Quitting here is done one day at a time. There is a quit group here waiting for you if you are serious about quitting.
