1 question, are you willing to do whatever it takes to stay quit?
I am able, ready and willing. I'm done with the shit.
Quitting Sucks and will probabaly be one of the hardest things you will ever do! BUT the reward is worth all the pain to get that crap out of your life!!! Slave to nic for over 30 years here!!! Wish I had never smoked that first cig. You WILL quit if you drink the Koolaid and post your promise EVERY day!!! Welcome to the SUCK!
It's hard but it can be done and with the support from this site, you can do it. Come join us at the August group before it's too late. We have a lot of guys there who are willing to help and a lot of the veteran guys are right there with us. I'm on day 13, if I can do it, anyone can. Let's go quit together, one day at a time.
Keep that attitude and you will be fine. Make sure you spend some time reading everything on this site. Knowledge is power !!

Welcome to the best decision of your life.

STAY QUIT
Greg

Hi guys,

My name is Andy. I have been chewing since I was 15, so I guess that makes it 11 years now. I wanted to join up on the 19th of May as that day has some significance to me as the day my father passed away 12 years ago, but I pussed out and couldn't quit. After a few days of being an idiot, here I am; ready to put the past behind me and look forward to a life without dip.

I don't want to be a slave a can of tobacco any more. I will make up any excuse to head over the gas station for a tin, at any time of day. Not any more. I'm pretty terrified at the moment though. I start law school in a couple of months, about the time I'm hitting that 100 day mark. Which I suppose is another reason to stop now, don't wanna be feeling like shit while trying to work all that stuff out.

Anyway, looking forward to meeting everyone and putting the can down for good.

Thanks,
Andy

Welcome Andy! We have a few things in common. I'm 23 (close to your age). My name is Drew. We were dumbasses. Now we are both quit. Focus on one day at a time. Don't be a slave to tobacco. The nic bitch will try to trick you and tell you that you can have one dip to ease the cravings. It is a lie! One dip and you're back to day one. I know because I've been there (Not since I joined KTC however). Check your inbox for my phone number. I'm 8 days quit so I have recently gone through what you're going through right now with your quit. You need to exchange phone numbers with some guys to be accountable. There is no hope, luck, or try here. It is do or do not! Do not use. Be quit. Stay strong.

Welcome, you have been a dumbass for the last 11 years, not just 3 days. I myself was a dumbass for 23 years but as or right now you are just as quit as me (I just don't have to go through the suck again)

Head over to the August quit group and post roll. There you will be surrounded with other dumbasses who will all hit the 100 day mark in Aug like you.

1 question, are you willing to do whatever it takes to stay quit?

Sorry to hear about your father. But WELCOME and great choice!!! You'll want to click on the "Welcome Center" link above and read all you can. Read how to post roll. That is the key...you'll find out. Then keep reading.

There is no reason to be scared. Don't think about tomorrow, next week, next month, or year. We'll deal with them when they get here. You just focus on what you can control...right now. When you post roll, you're not saying that you'll never do it again. You're just saying that come hell or high water, you're not doing it today. And anyone can go one day, right? Then tomorrow, you'll wake up and post roll again. It is that simple...not easy...but simple.

You take the first step and we're right behind you all the rest of the way. Posting roll is your first step. Welcome, brother!!! You can do this! PM me if you need anything.
