Hey Medi,

Posting roll is the essence of quitting with Ktc. We take it extremely seriously. It is your promise, your solemn word, that you will not use nicotine of any kind for the day. Just the day. In your early quit it will be a battle from hour to hour. Never forget the promise you made to yourself and your brothers and sisters here.

Integrity is something you may need to rebuild. I certainly had to after many years of hiding my addiction. But the good and generous people her at KTC had my back. If I can do this, you certainly can.

Proud to be quit with you.

CJ

LMAO! Holy hell, bro... you are one foggy fugger! Just look at your typing to know what I'm talking about :D

Don't sweat perfection... just do it. Someone will fix you up and your brain will eventually get it. Do it... don't give up trying. Making a mess out of roll is a rite of passage and we dig it. Know why?... 'Cuz you're doing it.

That's what matters. Rock on, m'man.

The key here to quitting nic is accountability Medi and for that you need to post. I remember when I first made that giant leap of posting my day one 176 days ago and how exciting it was knowing I had made one of the best decisions of my life. Don't wait around or hesitate to do the same. Get back your freedom and don't give big tobacco another penny of your money.

You have to know and accept that there is no option of using nicotine, in any form, ever again. Every single one of us is an addict. It is a mental illness. We are self-sabotaging and self-destructive creatures. We have the choice to take back control, though. It is not easy. It hasn't been easy for anyone before you, it is not easy for me, and it will not be easy for you. The best things in life, as they say... You are here and you are definitely not alone. Bottom line, this is your quit and only you can decide to ride out the shitstorm and trust all these folks that it's worth making it to the other side. We can be shitstorm riding brothers, crap cowboys, if you will. I've got my windbreaker on riding out this shitnado, too. Let's make it to the other side and NEVER come back.

Welcome in.

Couple things for you to think on...

~ You've never quit before. You've just stopped for extended lengths of time. We don't do that here as you know. This place doesn't work by proxy... you have to get involved and stay involved.

~ We don't use words like "hope", "try", or "luck". Quit is something you work on with all the tools we offer. Leaving it up to chance will NOT work. Own it.

~.Dig deep and figure out your triggers that caused you to bomb and cave during your previous stoppages. What's going to keep those things from pushing you over the edge this time?

I'll repeat... get involved and stay involved.
Well, it’s one louder, isn’t it? It’s not ten.

My intro
« on: July 06, 2015, 09:00:00 PM »
Hello all!
I want to start by saying i have quit 2 previous times for around 9 months each time, and using this site helped me. I was never a member in the past, but decided to officially join this time, hoping the 3rd time will work for good!
Having my previous failures out of the way...let me introduce myself! Im a 40 yr old husband and father of 3 that has been chewing for around 22 years (minus the 18 months from before) this time around i am finding it very difficult to go for more than a day, and need help to get thru this. I feel like reaching out is the only way to finally quit for good. Im at the point in my life where alot of family members are getting cancer and its scaring the crap out of me!
I threw my last tin out lastnite and havent had any for about 24hrs.... so far so good. Im able to take my mind off of it from reading and posting here... so ty all! Im looking forward to beating my addiction and listening to any1 here that offers support.
thanx
