Welcome Lucky
Sounds like you have some pretty respectable morals there. Quitting absolutely sucks as I'm in Day 9, craves can be fucking brutal. But let's be realistic here, is quitting even a fraction of how bad it would be to deal with cancer? See ya at roll call, everyday.

what if i can't log on every morning? do i just do it next time i can get online?
The intent is that you'd post roll every day. If you think you'll have an extended absence many people will get a phone number of a fellow quitter and call in or text in their roll call.

If you need a number let me know.

Welcome Lucky.

Post roll call every morning giving your word of honor that you will not use nicotine in any way, shape or form for that day. Keep your word. One day at a time.

You can do this. we will help.

Time to Quit
« on: March 05, 2009, 02:39:00 PM »
I found this site through Quitnet.com. I decided now is the time to quit, so i started looking for help online. I tried to quit last year cold turkey and it didn't last long. It ended with me cussing out a Taco Bell employee and going straight to the store for a can of copenhagen.

I decided it's time because i keep noticing the older guys at work and all their health problems and how tobacco just makes it worse. I'm going to start taking care of myself and living healthier so hopefully i won't have as many problems when i get older, and that starts with quitting dipping.

I think this site, and everybody here, can help me with this from what I've read on the forum already. Thanks in advance for the help.

Also, my mom has been smoking for 20+ years now. My older sister is expecting her first baby(my moms first grandchild). I talked my mom into quitting smoking so she can be around to spend time with her grandchild and watch her grow up. I hope we will be able to help each other, and maybe i can help her more through words of wisdom from ya'll.

Sorry about the long introduction I'm just nervous as hell about quitting, but I'm determined and will do it.

Thanks,
Lucky
