Well, where to start. I am 28 years old and I first picked up the poison of dip when I was 18 years old before that I smoked cigs, figured it would be better for me to dip instead. My poison of choice was Grizzly Wintergreen Long cut. I have tried quitting several times before. Just didn't really stay true to myself but this time I feel good about it. The only hard thing about it will be when I go back to work. I drive long-haul OTR semis. The road can be long and lonely and dip had been there for me for 5 years in a semi. I'm not sure how I'm gonna deal with the lonely days on the road without it. I will make it through I have to. This is something I must do, I cannot fail myself. I am currently 5 days into my quit this time. It does get hard but I keep telling myself I am stronger than this. Water does help a lot and man o man how I have been chugging it. Chewing Ice as well seems to help me for that fixation. I think about dipping a lot tho and catch myself reaching for the can and it not being there. I threw all cans away all spit bottles everything so I wouldn't smell it anymore or even see it. This is basically my story right now and I plan to come back to this thread and add more to it and my journey of quitting.

Best of luck to all the others out there fighting the dip demon! 'finger point' 'finger point'
Best thing you can do is post roll daily and collect some phone numbers. Posting roll is a powerful tool to defeat this demon.

Also, luck has no place. Do or Do Not, there is no try.
Collecting numbers is hands down the best thing. Its easy to cave, but its harder to do so when you are held accountable and your brothers and sisters of KTC are held accountable as well. You wont just be letting yourself down if you cave. If you feel the need, always reach down and text or call one of them.

A promise not kept is the road to exile.

If quitting is cool, consider me Myles Davis.

Unless you bring value onto my 1/2 acre, I don't want to hear it.
