To the makers of skoal long cut strait...... 'Finger' I just quit a few days ago, and was looking around on the net to find out why I feel like complete shit...I was happy to find this site....very cool to know that I am not completely nuts...just "foggy". I am at the stage where I would like to find the founder of Skoal and stick my fist in his ass, in a non sexual way... 'na na' . I have found that working out, and drinking a lot of water helps ....every time I want a chew I try to go for a walk......I might jump out infront of a car later, but for now I am good..... I drive a big truck for UPS and USED to chew 1-2 cans a day.. I have 3 kids all under 7 and I found a spit cup that was cleaned out, my son handed it to me so I would get him some milk, it has some old dried chew that made it through the washer. KINDA sealed the deal for me.... I am really rambling in my dip fog, so I am gonna get off the keys for a bit...thanks for all the email and posts...

Thanks to those of you that convinced me to quit early.  My Hooch arrived yesterday - five days into my quit.

I've had some bad moments.  I feel lost every so often for a minute or two, but all in all it's been okay.  Wasting hours at a time reading over old blogs helps and is usually worth a laugh.

Y'all have a good holiday.
good job Gee...and merry Christmas
Enjoy your dip free Christmas!!! You savings will pay for all the gifts next year ;)

?Come to the edge.?
And they came. And he pushed them. And they flew

I won't fall again. I guarantee it

All of you are right. As of 9:33 PM MT - I'm done. I dumped the new can of cope that I bought this afternoon down the toilet and thrown out the empty ones in my truck, briefcase and athletic bag as well. Your posts pissed me off. Speaking to my best friend from Houston who quit last month without giving me a call - pissed me off, and finally reading the post and journal from Jenny made me realize what a selfish person I've been since starting again after having kicked it. Thanks for the motivation today. The pain starts tomorrow morning.

I fell off the wagon four years ago. I quit January 10, 2001. It was a great feeling. I logged on to a site quitsmokeless I believe, and the support really helped. Sometime during the summer of 2003 I started again. It was stupid. I was in Corpus Cristi for training and decided to have just one dip. By the time I flew home I was full on addicted again.

My name is Chris Gee. I want to quit for myself, but I also have a beautiful family that I think about everytime I make my way to the store for another can of Copenhagen. It's time. I know I should do it right now but I need my security blanket. It worked last time and I expect it will again if I believe it will. I ordered my cans of Hooch last night. I'm hoping to quit the day after Christmas.

I'm glad you guys are here. I'll need you. I started dipping Cope when I was about 12. I was a regular dipper at 14. A fond moment the last time I quite was when I went to the dentist after 60 dip free days - and being told my mouth looked good. I'm a typical chest beating Texan, but I shed tears walking to the truck that day. It's time.

Chris
welcome Gee...

you damned straight it's time

let's just hope the dips you take between now and Christmas aren't the ones that take you away from that beautiful family of yours. that would be sad huh?

fuck the day after Christmas...fuck tomorrow...all you have is today my friend

don't fuck around with it...

Howsabout you beat on that Texas sized chest, jump ump on the top turnbuckle and give LOOT a resounding "Hell Yeah!"...
