I think Cook meant that if you ARE NOT doing this for yourself, you will fail....

Proverbs 18:2

"A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion."

A Quit Plan: Do you have one?

CLOSE THE DOOR. In my opinion, it?s the single most important step in your final quit. There is one moment, THE moment, when you finally let go and surrender to the quit.
After that moment, no temptation will be great enough, no lie persuasive enough to make you commit suicide by using tobacco. SportDad 1/13/05

Warm summer sun, shine kindly here;
Warm southern wind, blow softly here;
Green sod above, lie light, lie light.-
Good-night, dear heart, good-night.

Be silly, be honest, be kind

welcome to the site...those that have come and stayed quit are very passionate about helping all those who have decided to quit and want to stay quit. if you are doing this for yourself you will fail. the people in here will ride you hard and may seem offensive...but to quit and stay quit needs a degree of tough love. this addiction and believe me it is an addiction is strong...you will have craves and pulls when less expected and they will be strong one. so, make a plan. know what has triggered you in the and have a substitute or way to avoid it. it does get easier but it never reaches a point when you can ever have another dip. so, ask for help when you need it...reach out and ask for phone numbers if you need to talk to someone.

Looks like June of 08 is your quit group. Get over and add another quitter to the list if you haven't already. You made a great decision that as you well know will not be an easy road to follow, but take it from everyone else on the site: It gets easier as you go. Any questions or comments or times you need to vent don't hesitate.
