I quit on New Years Eve (how original) for the hundreth time.  I am hoping that this time it will stick with the help of this site and the fellow quitters.  Not sure what to do next as far as joining a quit group but any help would be greatly appreciated.
There is no hoping, or trying, here, there is only success from doing. You have to make up your mind to be in control of that crap that has plagued your life.

With all the support here, it is all on you to follow through with quitting. Be active when times are tough, be active when the days go by so easily. Do not be content when times are easy and you feel you do not really need this site and all the support here. Follow through each day with your commitment to stay clean of the poison you have become so acquainted with. Remember your commitment when you are obsessed with wanting to dip, it will save your life.

Print out the quit contract and put it in your wallet next to your money, when you want that dip and looking to see if you have the money for a can, read that contract and decide if the dip is worth the money you are about to spend. Are you willing to sign that contract?

Contract to Give Up

I give up my quit. Quitting is impossible and I cannot do it. I love dipping more than I love myself. I care about dipping more than I care about my personal health. I love dipping more than I love my family. I know this addiction will kill me, and I ACCEPT that fact. I enjoy spending time alone with my can more than I enjoy spending time with anyone else on the planet. I look forward to losing my jaw, my tongue, my throat, my life - it's worth it. When I am lying in my hospital bed fighting a losing battle against cancer I will feel a sense of satisfaction knowing that this is the path I CHOSE. My only regret will be that I didn't start dipping earlier in life. I will feel sorrow for my familyÂ’s heartbreak and suffer untold pain, but I know you must sacrifice for the things you truly love.

I know ALL the consequences of my actions and I accept them fully and without regret. I hereby choose to give my life to this addiction - I do so with a smile on face.

This will be the last time. Please repeat after me:
I refuse to be a statistic anymore. Once I realized the only way to quit and stay quit is if I accept the responsibility of controlling my own actions. A little can no longer controls my actions, thoughts, emotions, MY DESTINY. I DO! There is no going back from here or I am that statistic I refuse to be.
