It is a fight for your life. Get ready to take a few punches. But you have the advantage. You have decided to take control of your life and not have a chemical control you. After 29 years of dipping it was the people of this site that helped me kick the nic bitch in the balls. Noticed I said "helped"? Everybody can help, but it is up to you how you want to use that help. Put up your guard and throw the bitch off your back. Welcome to your quit.

Been reading around the site for a bit and decided today is the day. I'm young and been dipping cope for about five years, so want to kick this while I'm ahead. My parents always smoked and I never understood why they had such a hard time quitting; I told myself that my mind would always be stronger than some chemical. Well 5 years after that first lip while wetting a line down at the local fishing hole I get it. I still don't understand why but no matter how many times I tell myself no more I still go walking back into that gas station. Well I'm tired of trying to hide this, always on edge about people finding out. Getting the shit all over my car interior and stuff; but most importantly proving that my mind is stronger than this dirt. I look forward to meeting many of you and hopefully be able to help as much as I am helped.

Great choice. Life is better lived without a cancerous leash tying our lip to a dip. If I can quit with my addictive personality anyone can. Go to welcome center link at top of screen, post roll, then get connected to other quitters. Exchange numbers so you can ask for help when the craves are strong. Buy gum(not nicotine gum, this is a cold turkey site), seeds, bacon, anything but nicotine. You can do this- and do it young before you have 10 20 30 years to erase.
