So I should be losing the physical withdrawal symptoms soon as I pass through my third day! I am way damn happy right now. I know it is not nearly over, and in fact tonight was one of the hardest nights to abstain yet but I am thrilled to have made through the first 3 days.

The roll call thing works! I can lie to myself easier than I can lie to other people who want a dip just as much as I do for some reason. Godspeed you blackhearted quitters! So glad I found this site, now not to slip up and blow it.

Peace!
Congrats Sleezy,
The 3rd day was the pinnacle of my withdraw. Dude keep this quit goin. Post roll every day to keep the Nic Bitch away. 'clap'

I hope all of the other "day 1" types made it through. I am close to 24 hours nicotine free now. Ginger is helping a lot, even it if it just in my head, I will take it.

Going to bed, signing a new roll call tomorrow. Thanks for well wishes, the welcome, and so on. Peace :D
I know you.

You can do this.

If it is what you want more than anything.

Anything else is, well, just bullshit.
Hey thanks man. I am back up, wide awake it seems. Just half an hour away from the first 24 and I feel like I am doing ok. One question though, is waking up with stomach cramps normal? I just had to run for the bathroom to crap brains out!

I guess it could be the extra sugar I have had today or possibly the ginger going to work on me. Either way, I will take a bought of midnight bombing the bowl over buying more dip.
Hey sleezy
The sugar and ginger r the likely culprits. Only 3 weeks ago I was right where u r now. U can do this. U have some Allstars supporting u. Post roll 1st thing tomorrow, digest everything on this site (no pun intended due to ur current state), fight like ur life depends on it cz it does. Pm me tomorrow if u need 2.

Thank you for the welcome. I did post roll, the day is half way over but still, I am not dipping today so I posted.

I have more energy than normal and I feel like this is backwards for some reason. Maybe eating raw ginger has something to do with it who knows.

I do think I can make it with some help, it just really really sucks as I am sure you all know. How tempted were some of you to filter out an old spit cup and make one big disgusting last dip? Did it work? LOL :D

Peace, I am feeling mostly goofy right now. Hope everyone is well.

Write, rant, whatever helps keep you from sticking rat turds in your mouth.

Welcome to the freak show. This place works if you are willing to walk through the fire. Good news is there are a ton of quitters who will walk with you.

Post roll.

Keep your word.

Repeat.

Welcome.

Write a damn book! If it helps you quit, write another one! I will probably read it because I like killing time by coming to this site and getting quitspiration. I can really relate to how you are feeling I was there a while back, I was full of shame over my addiction and an emotional wreck when I found this place. Now I enjoy my freedom each and every day. It is not an easy fight but when you put your name on that roll you are no longer fighting alone. PM if you want my help.
I will quit with you today.

Great choice!!! No need to apologize...that's what we're here for. Go to the Welcome Center (pink letters up top) and begin reading. There is a ton of info. Read about how to post roll. Emotions are part of the journey (I'm told...ha)

You can't change the past, so don't think about it (especially the money that you could have had now if...like I said, don't think about it). But you can sure as shit make a different future for yourself. It is done one day at a time.

So, make the commitment to be free. Post roll, stay quit all day, and repeat. You can do this!!! You take the first step...we'll support you for the rest. Welcome, brother!!!

Well I fully intended for this to be a short and sweet introduction but I apparently have a bundle of nervous energy at my disposal so I will put it to use.

What I would give to go back to one day at the park over 20 years ago and just say "no thanks". Friend offers, I accept, and wow I really like this stuff. A bit dizzy yes, but some sort of buzz coming on, and yeah I admit I felt pretty damn manly holding my own with it. So long ago. Today, I would smack that can of Cope right out of his outstretched grubby paw.

I continued on with my new friend but made the switch to Skoal. Stores were either under no directive to check ID, or they simply didn't care. We bought it from wherever we happened to be. Girls didn't like it, but it was easy enough to keep from them. The gym coach that was supposed to whip our asses for getting caught with it in school dipped as well. He just smacked the bottom of his shoe with the paddle and sent us on our way, lesson learned.

So military followed, no problems dipping there. After that, professional office environment and this required serious subterfuge and discretion. No matter, I kept right on going.

Daughter arrives, moves happen, divorce happens, life happens. My constant buddy? You all know the answer to that one!

I have switched brands over the years, I have "quit" over the years, I even used the nicotine gum and not a damn thing worked. Today though, is a new day and I am going to give it hell. Rather it is going to give me hell so I am counting on this site to help. I envy all of you who have stopped using, and good lord do I feel the pain of those still in active nicotine withdrawal.

So no nicotine gum this time. I do have some chewing gum, suckers, etc. I really really want to stop. I swear I cried when I found this site, no joke. I am already as emotional as can be and feeling scatterbrained. Believe it or not I am quite most of the time.

Thanks for the site, sorry for the book. Godspeed you quitters.
Come on in man.... if you havent already find your quit group and post roll today. If you want this monkey off your back this is the place. Let me know if I can help.
