I quit Friday night and have never made it longer than 24 hours in the last 10 years, I'm on my day 6 and it's worth it. Don't cave, quit chewing not on yourself.

Dude! Me and Brettlees dipped for longer than you've been alive. Don't be an idiot like us. Quitting now is the smartest thing you will ever do.
Do those 3 things Brett laid out and you cannot fail. Welcome to KTC!!!!!!!!!!!!!
^^^ me too.

Dammit.

I'm old.

Anyway... get involved and stay involved. It works. Really.
Well, it’s one louder, isn’t it? It’s not ten.

Hi CU glad you are finding your way- congratulations! Now, start building that quit!
1. Learn all you can-- read, read, read here on the site and beyond- intros, knowledge center, etc.
2. build a network- of quitters in your group and others-- accountability and support!
3. create a track record of updates on how you are doing here in the intros- keep it in the open for all to see and help you, and for you to see how far you come!
This info helped me early on, and still does today: https://whyquit.com/whyquit/linksaaddiction.html

Quitters I’ve met so far: Ihatecope, >Pinched<, T-Cell, grizzlyhasclaws, Canvasback, BaseballPlayer, Cbird65, ERDVM, BradleyGuy, Ted, Zeno, AppleJack, Bronc, Knockout, MookieBlaylock, Rdad, 2mch2lv4, MN_Ben, Natro, Lippizaner, Amquash, ChristopherJ, GDubya, SRohde  -- always eager to meet more!

Hey everyone, today I decided to quit chewing. It's something I've tried before and never made it too far, but I feel like a community like this may be just what I need to do this. I'm a 22 year old college student here in the United States, and have dipped over a can a day for 4 years now. I've just come to the realization that dipping brought more bad into my life than good. I lost relationships, self-esteem, and the ability to handle stress all because I decided to start dipping. I'm looking forward to coming here just to know people will listen to me bitch about how hard it is to quit, and will help with some motivation and perspective while doing it. I can't wait to take back control of my own life.

Also, I would like to join the January 2017 quit group, but can't find it, can anyone tell me how to do that?

Today is the first day of a new life. Go Tigers.
Welcome CU. It looks like you found January and posted day one. Congratulations. You are on the right path. Just post your promise not to dip each day early, get some numbers of other quitters, and read all you can here. This works as long as you keep your word. PM me if you would like my number or if I can help in any way.
