I'm on Day 4. I know what you are feeling right now. It gets worse before it gets better but you got our support and you are not far off from it all getting better too. Just hold strong.

Just stay quit. PM me if you need me. Chances are I am needing you too.
Your last sentence may be the most romantic quit sentence ever HipHop! i love it.

We all need each other don't we. We have all tried and failed when we "tried to quit" in the past.

This place works.

Doing this together works.

24 hours is something we can all do.

Nice job.

You guys are almost quitting like a girl.....awe....love it

Unknowns are scary. Quitting is scary to you, because you've lived so much of your life under the thumb of the nic bitch, you can't imagine going the rest of your life without that shit coursing through your veins. The whole prospect becomes a whole lot less scary when you think about quitting just for today. Anyone can quit for a day. That's what we do to break this addiction up so that it can be fought in manageable 24 hour chunks of time. Got one day down? Good. Come back tomorrow and do the same thing. Within a few days to a few weeks, that scary prospect of living life without dip becomes much more known and much less scary.
Tuco's dead on bro. Sorry, when I saw you mention you are struggling and etc in your quit group, I didn't realize you were on day 1. It can seem intimidating. I thought it was impossible. It's obviously not.
Just kick back and read about the other quitters here, and get to know some of the bad asses that hang around. Sending you a PM.

I had my first dentist visit since being quit recently - cancer screening clean, but major gum damage and possible tooth loss. Quit and stay quit folks.

Care to share the details of your dental scare?

Fear is THE number one motivator in my opinion- for SOME people. Because when they get that clean bill of health, it's right back to packing.
I have a few dark spots on my gums and some damage to my cheek (no sores, just white wrinkles) . The dentist is hopeful that it will regenerate and heal on its own, but I go in on Monday and find out if anything is serious.
Gotcha. Remember the fear that you have right now- the uncertainty, the unknown. And then when you get that clean bill of health, breathe easy, but carry that feeling of fear with you forever. Don't get complacent. You will ultimately develop a hatred for big tobacco and anyone standing behind that fucking counter at the gas station. Glad to have you on the site!

QLF ODAAT..

When you stop quitting hard, you forget how hard it was.

"When will you put the arrogance and ignorance aside and choose to live and to live with honor and integrity. It's the best fucking feeling in the world. It beats the shit out of feeling like a loser caver. It beats the shit out of knowing that you are nic's bitch. It beats the shit out of getting cancer and dying. This is really hard shit and you have to attack it with a vengeance. Get after it January. Quit like fuck" ~ Bronc
