Rob-
I thought I saw a twitter from you on the first page, but I didn't see your name in the June quit group. Are you posting roll in June?

MOA hit the nail on the head. I am a little concerned about one thing you said, "hoping to..." Hope is something for people that can't do. We don't talk that way around here.

You must decide that you are quit...right now, this second...and you are. The rest is staying quit. That is what we'er here for. You take the first step and we support you the rest of the way. Freedom is earned one day at a time. Just post roll, stay quit, and enjoy your new life, brother.

And Im guessing that Mr. King, like most of us here at one point in our lives, lacked the determination to actually stop feeding yourself a daily mixture of death and disease. I wish you the best and I hope that something will cause you to quit for good before it is too late.

2 Things you should know:
1) You have to DECIDE to quit. This is the hardest part. No trying, or wanting to, blah blah blah. Simply DECIDE that you are finished.
2) You have to be the one that quits, we cant quit for you. We will HELP you but you must be the one that actually does the quitting. You are no different from the rest of us. We are all addicts and we are all beating the bitch one day at a time. Join us. Buy into what we are telling you, get involved, help the next new guy (pay it forward), educate yourself and watch the days add up. I look forward to reading your HOF speech.

Hey guys. My name is Rob. I live in Detroit, MI. I've finally done it. I've decided to quit. I can't even count on 2 hands how many times I have said that before and it just didn't work. I would quit for one day and before you know it, I was buying a tin again. Thankfully, I stumbled upon this site and I'm hoping it (and you guys) will be able to help me quit for good. I'm really hoping this site will help me. My family doesn't understand what I'm going through. It's like they expect me to just stop and never think about it or want it ever again. They don't know how hard it is.

I started chewing when I was working on a golf course and everyone around me did it. I tried it and just got hooked. I've been chewing Grizzly Wintergreen, 1 can a day for going on 4 years. I need to quit. I'm paying money just to slowly kill myself. $3.50 a day, $24.50 a week, $105.00 a month, $1,277.50 a year. The times I chew the most are when I'm driving anywhere, playing video games, or drinking with friends.

Just wanted to share a little bit about me. I hope, with your help, I can achieve my goal of quitting for good.

My quit day is March 16, 2012
Congratulations on your quit!

We quit cold turkey here, meaning no nic patches, gum or tobacco products.

The central part of our program and success is posting roll call every day.

Yea buddy, just read Keddy's advise head on over to the welcome center. This site is about accountability, if you drink the koolaid and post roll everyday you'll be fine. Reach out to other members of your quit group (PreHOF June'12) and exchange numbers. PM me if you want my number

Glad to be quit with you
Bruce
