hey theaddict12, It is good to see some other addict taking their life back. it really is "one day at a time here". Embrace the suck, don't think/worry about the "many more to go", as they don't exist yet. You can deal with them when they are today. you deal with today, one today at a time and you'll be triumphant in your quit for life!
Read everything here. Read some everyday. It does get better. Things get clearer. Your game will improve. Your blood pressure will be lower. I am day 68 and have lowered my blood pressure to below normal. I am proud to be QUIT with YOU~~ 'zombie'

my story is typical and i am extremely tired of hiding this bad habit from family and most importantly my girlfriend. its time to man up and do what ive wanted to do for quite some time. i play college baseball and have always psychologically leaned on the can. i always tried to quit on my own which proved to be to hard when nobody is holding you accountable. thanks to this site i feel determined and inspired by all the great stories. the bed time dip or the dip first thing in the morning will be hard to pass but its there is no time like the present. i hope to meet some great people and be encouraged as i head into the uncharted waters.
Everyone here is going to hold you accountable and too your word. That is the only way we can be successful if we are accountable for our actions and have the intestinal fortitude to not give in. One day is an accomplishment no matter how you look at, just keep it going one day at a time. Don't stop Quitting!!!

One day at a time bro. That's the measure of success around here. Quit today and face tomorrow when its staring you in the mirror. Stare right into those eyes. Find the guy you want to be. Fight to be that guy.

alright glad you are here. we can put this in baseball terms:

Let's warm up by taking any stashes you may have laying around and flushing them down the crapper.

Step up to the plate and make that promise, today, to stay quit for 1 day.

Get that home run by honoring that word that you have made to yourself and to your quit group (hope you have read through the welcome center for this)

Next inning is to wake up the next day and step to the plate again, post your word again for the 1 day.

Sounds simple, and it will be a fight and like the season a very long one, but if you stick with it, keep hitting it out of the ballpark, you will win this game of life and be an all star in burying the nic bitch into your past.

yell if you need anything
What Derek said. Immerse yourself in the site and read as much as you can about what you will go through, especially these first 3 days.

We take it one day at a time, that's all we ask. Post roll, commit to it for today. Just do that everyday, simple really.

QLAFM
I'd also add that you really should come clean to those close to you. You need their support, and it will help them understand why you are being such an asshole because you are not getting your fix.
Nobody trips over mountains. It is the small pebble that causes you to stumble. Pass all the pebbles in your path and you will find you have crossed the mountain.

Man you are right those dips will be hard to pass up unless: you post roll and make your promise not to use the shit today, the very 1st thing you do even before you set on the shitter and put that 1st dip in!!!
