Hi all.  I'm not one to post much but I do want to Thank all those who participate on this site.  I have used the resources on numerous occasion and wanted to pass on a small thanks.  I am on Day 2 (June 28th @ 7p) of my final quit. I'm tired of playing the fucking games.  I have let the years splash by whilst continuing to harbor this demon which has infected all the good things in my life.  1.5 can a day Long Cut Copey habit for ~7 years. I'm 33 with a supportive wife and 3 wonderful kids who are counting on me not to be a pussy anymore. I'm losing focus here and my throat is sore so I'll  be on my way.  THANKS!

Nice verse.

Try Philippians 4:13 also.

Just remember, you have the strength He has given you, so you know you can succeed, but YOU must accept that strength and know that it will never get so bad that you can't handle it. And then it'll get better, slowly but surely. It's worth it.

Welcome.
You have the strenght to do this. You only have to look as far as inside to find it.

Read the site cover to cover. It will help get you through the hardest few days. Your profile is very similar to many of us (husband, father, and addict). You sound like you have alot of people counting on you and some good reasons to live. Stay strong. Also, there is a direct coorelation between success and the amount of activity (posts) I encourage you to get active on the boards. If you need a number to call to keep you strong just PM me and I will be glad to give you a hand or a kick in the ass whichever you need. MOA
I love to see posts like this! It means there are people who REALLY get it. MOA's advice to get active early is right on the money. Besides, it will help take your mind off "the sucK" - which you're in right now. Develop good posting habits by doing it early each morning. You will fail long-term unless you attack this addiction. I am 100% behind you brother! Let me know if you need any help or a phone number.

Welcome - sounds like you've been through this before and know what's coming (e.g., "the suck").
