Welcome Crappie, sorry to hear about your friend's dad. I hope he makes a recovery and that his experience helps keep you on track.

I was in the fog really bad last week. My advice is to try to get some fresh air, exercise and to stay hydrated. I was a complete train wreck on Friday, but Saturday and Sunday were a lot more manageable - I think because I was able to spend a little time outside.

Based on your ID, I assume you fish, so I'd recommend getting on the water if you can. This may be shocking news, but you actually can catch a fish without a lip in - I did it on Saturday. Guess what, it's still fun.

If you're stuck inside during the week, you're just going to have to tough it out. Try to take a walk or get some exercise. I've read (and kind of experienced) that caffeine will have an inflated impact, so go easy on the coffee/ soda.

If you get frustrated with friends/ loved ones/ co-workers/ the guy in front of you who can't fucking figure out the chip in his debit card, quietly refrain from punching anyone in the throat. Take a few deep breaths, step back and realize that this frustration might have more to do with a chemical reaction in your brain, rather than a world crushing disaster.

Good luck, reach out if you need anything.
^^ that is great, you can fish without chew...
There will be quite a few first, mowing the yard, fishing, hunting.
My advice is to get active on KTC, exercise and drink tons of water.
Quit on!

Other than seeing a doctor for the withdrawals (and they will put you on addictive medicines anyways and we have already proven we have an addictive nature) the best thing is lots and lots of water. Some fruit juices will help as well. B12 helps some. St. Johns Wort helps some. But the best is just lots of water and some fruit juice. Sleep often. Meditate.

Congrats on the quit! Don't let the Nic Bit(h win against your determination to quit. She will try every way possible.

Get to your group. Post roll daily. Make that promise daily that you will quit. We quit day by day here. Sometimes it has to be second by second.

Journey Awaits

Today is the day.. After many days of filling my lip full of unknown chemicals and constantly wondering when the next dip will be, today will be the end of it. I've been chewing roughly around 8 years on  off and never gave it much thought of quitting until I found out recently that a best friend of mines dad was dignosed with stage 4 lung cancer, for me this hit home and made me realize that no one is safe from it.

The reason I began chewing to begin with was due too anxiety/panic attacks and to which I thought in my mind and still do that chewing relieves it. It has always been my go to as soon as a anxious thought or a unbearable panic attacks comes on.. So this will definitely be the biggest challenge of mine.

If any one has any tips and or advice to get rid of this "Fog" that I've been feeling I would definitely appreciate it.
