Post roll, read and repeat. Fight craves by popping on here, give a word of encouragement to someone...maybe even someone in your Quit Group...and remember the significance of Roll Call. That was your word that you will remain quit today. And we expect you to keep it.

Don't think about tomorrow, next week or whenever...we'll deal with them when they get here. Focus on today. You've taken dipping off the table for today. No excuses.

Fake stuff, mints, gum, exercise, water...those all helped. But the main thing, and the main reason this site works, is mutual accountability. YOU MADE THIS CHOICE. AND YOU GAVE YOUR WORD.

Harby has it correct. We are NOT giving it the old college try here. NOPE. We are quit. Will you join us? Trying and hoping got me nowhere for 25 years. This site taught me how to quit one day at a time. Post roll as this harby has instructed. Take the option of nicotine off the table immediately. Promise yourself TODAY that you will not use. Quitting is not easy BUT it is possible. You can do this. We can help.

Hi I'm Eric, Ive tried to quit earlier and never got anywhere. I've never used any of this before but after reading through some it seemed like it could help. So here it goes try number (I don't even know) but hopefully with the help on here I can get through it.
The main challenges I face are after I eat, Long drives and games, and studying/homework. Does anyone have any tips on how to just get past the first initial cravings? My girlfriend doesn't know I dipped and we've been dating for two years. This is completely for me because I need to quit but it's also for her she deserves an honest guy and I don't want to lie to her about where I'm going just to get one more in.

This site isn't for trying. This is an all in, Balls deep kinda place.

1st thing is to dump all the nicotine products you have if you haven't already. Next is to post roll in May. There is more info on the importance of roll and how to get it done in the welcome center. Basically it is your promise to yourself and your group not to use for 24 hours. Once you've done that all you have to do is not put a cat turd in your mouth for 24 hours. Rinse and repeat.

The fake stuff has helped me a lot with craves as well as big red gum. Some people use seeds as well. Drink tons of water and try to keep your mind occupied on other things, the wealth of info on this site is a great place to do just that. Welcome to the suck coaster.
