KM,

Welcome - and congrats on the move to quit now.  Come join us and post roll and repeat daily and take it one day at a time.  Don't let this garbage own you anymore.  Time to flip the switch.

Km68-

Welcome. Glad you stopped lurking and started quitting.

1. Post roll call, make your promise not to use nicotine today
2. Wake up tomorrow and post your promise again
3. Repeat

Simple. Believe it or not, that's all you have to do to quit.

Nicotine gave me high blood pressure, too, and many related health problems. Today I am much healthier and I've saved thousands of dollars and I'm not a total slave to the can. I regretted dipping and I don't regret quitting.

I've been using chew on and off for 5 years now and am finally ready to quit for good. I've lurked on KTC for at least a year. During that time I've quit and restarted many times. I'm done. Its given me high blood pressure. The worst though is that I have severe gerd and asthma. So, between the two, dip makes my breathing worse...and yet I still did it. Not anymore. Today, November 10, 2019, is my last first day!

Congrats on day 1!  Perhaps the way to think about it is the forward view:  “I am a quitter, I am claiming my life from nicotine!”

It will suck early, but life as a quitter gets better every day.
