Gents- I'm still here. And happy to state that I am now 32 hours removed from my last dip. I've read everyone's comments, and I appreciate the support, the many cuss words (passion), advice, etc. The first day was definitely tough, but not as tough as I expected. I'm sure today will test me. But I'm ready.

By the way- tried checking in at roll call. Kept getting an error. Will keep trying.
Going on day 34 - I felt the same way when I started my walk. Thinking I still enjoyed it, thinking I would never get to a point where I hated the stuff. Keep reading and listening to the vets on this site.

Do it for yourself first! You are in control of your future... good or bad. I'll quit with you every day, just keep coming back and post roll call. Prove that you can do this, not only to yourself but to those who said that you couldn't. That nic bitch says you can't and plenty of vets don't think you can. From what I've seen most that start never finish what they started because it was too hard.

Just do it!

I sit here now with a pinch of snuff wondering how the hell I can possibly quit?  I know I NEED to quit but I'm probably just like you and don't WANT to quit - it tastes so damn good!  Where do I start?  A patch?  Lifesavers?  Sunflower seeds?  All of the above?  Thx for your feedback!
Well you're not like me...I did WANT to quit and so should you. If you don't you probably will fail. You have to want to quit worse than anything in your entire life. Again, if you are here because you think you NEED to and don't WANT to then I'm probably wasting my time. But...I will continue.

Where do you start? You take that pinch along with every other can you own and flush it all down the toilet. Also fuck the patch, this is a nic free site.

"It tastes so good"...does it really? I thought the same thing 139 days ago but we both know it doesn't, it tastes like shit. You're addicted brain thinks it tastes good but deep down you know better. Do you even get a buzz from it anymore? I know I didn't after chewing for 15 years. Now I look back and wonder why the fuck I "liked" that shit. It tore my mouth up, tasted like shit, cost me a shit ton of $, was disgusting as hell, gave me shit breath, I got no buzz from it, and oh yeah it controlled my life and could kill me at any moment by giving me cancer. Talk about fun in a can!!!

Now...I can tell you what you THINK that shit does for you. Relaxes you, relieves stress, enhances good times, keeps you from being bored, helps you concentrate, gives you confidence and more. I used to think the same...complete bullshit.

You are a nicotine addict. Chewing is not some "habbit" you break. You're brain has been poisioned and chemically wired to BELIEVE nic does all the stuff I mentioned previous. Truth is nic does not fill any voids in your life, it creates them. As soon as you spit a chew out the countdown in your addicted brain begins jonsing for your next fix. THAT creates stress, tension, boredom, etc...and when you pop another turd in you are really only relieving and maintaing your addiction.

Sounded like a bunch of phooy to me when I first quit too, but its the truth. Its also true you can rewire your brain back to a state where its not chemically dependent on nic and you can live a life free and feel better than you ever thought imaginable.

Now if you're a man and serious about quitting flush your shit and head ti the "welcome center" at the top left of this page and learn how and start posting role. Then in a 100 days you will see I was right. Myself and other bad ass mother fuckers of quit will support you every step of the way. We want to see you quit.

Now if you're a pussy (I kind of think you are), then we wil probably never hear from you again and ive just wasted my time.

Balls in your court champ.
I can't improve on Diesel's reply, he is dead on. You won't stay quit unless you really want to be quit, not just thinking you should quit. Once you are sure, we do have the recipe for quitting. One day at a time, post your pledge, get and receive support, and do anything you have to to stay quit each day. This is a no nicotine site, we all quit cold turkey (no patches, nic gum, etc). If you are ready, PM me and I'll help you...
Snuff,

I agree with them ^^^ we cannot help you if you don't want to quit. I am sure you know the potential suffering that mouth and throat cancer can cause you and your family. (Actually I don't know if you do...) Anyway, I am gonna give you some practical advice:

If you really don't want to quit, then you might as well chew something that isn't gonna kill you:

all the flavor with no cancer: http://hoochsnuff.com/ , http://www.smokeysnuff.com/

screw the patch. It just prolongs the withdrawal from nicotine.

PS when you are ready to quit, come back and join the big boys.

Look fool only the special few can belong to this club. The strong, just and up right, determine, compassionate, caring, dedicated, and honest people. as of this moment it sounds like you still have your head up your ass where it will rot with cancer if that is what you want, then just keep pinching that bitch and putting it in your mouth. or best yet take both hands and get hold of your ears and pull your head out of your ass, flush that shit and make that most important promise! and join the Elite.

You quit the same way this fucker here did after chewing for 21 years. Cold Turkey. Just say no. Remember the shit is just a lie. Your body thinks it needs it, but it doesn't know any better. It's just Nic Whipped. Read what nicotine addiction really is:

When you finally sack up and drop the shit. Just post roll and spend the first day on here talking to any of us. I'll talk to you if you need. It's a rough day, I'm not gonna lie. But you'll get through it. And it will get better. But you don't have to worry about that until the next day. Just quit today!
Caving is NOT an option!

Start with whatever it takes beside nicotine! No patch, gum, lozenges allowed. Man up flush it, post roll in the January Jackwagins group. That is your promise to us you will not use for today. Post roll again tomorrow. One day at a time, there is no yesterday and no tomorrow. Quit for today.

I use lots of gum and unfortunately I eat a lot more now, but I am clean of the bitch!

Bitch at us all you want we can handle it!

You choose, I will quit with you if you will quit with me for today.
