Thanks dudes. A little over a week Nic free now and feeling alright. Still having a few chews per day of the smokey mountain/bacc off. Haven't yet found one that compares to the wintergreen flavor similar to grizz or skoal. Any suggestions?

Also, Charge, I'm not totally sure the process to join the Quit Group or do Roll Call. Would like to join though!
Congrats on your week. There is no reason to go this alone. Go find the Sept 15 quit group and post up. Those bad ass quitters will be falling all over themselves trying to help you.
Congrats on a GREAT decision.

Only one rule of this sight is to post roll every morning.

Go here:

This is your group. They all quit same time as you.
Instructions to post are on top of page.
Don't be scared if you mess it up. They will fix it.

Posting roll is your promise not to touch nicotine for the next 24 hours.

This sight is built on integrity. Our word is all WE have.

I quit with you today TX87.

Send me pm through your inbox (top right) if you have any questions.

Can I get some nic-free suppositories????!

Dude, that's awesome that you kicked nic to the curb just like that! Now's the time to be very wary of independence. I'm telling you, don't underestimate the power of group accountability. Something about a pack of wolves or something.....

Check my Intro for details. We'll be in the same Quit Group on daily Roll Call. I need you to keep me accountable. Let's do this.
Zero day: 22 June 2015.
Quit date: Today.

Congrats on a great choice, TX87. You are in the right place. First thing to do is to learn how and why we post roll. Then do it...everyday.

Also, this is a NO NIC site. So, Day 1 was your first day without nicotine of any kind...dip, gum, suppositories, whatever.

You can use any substitute you like as long as it is nic free. Candy, gum, mints, fake stuff...whatever you want. Tons of water and exercise seems to help. But remember...this isn't easy and you shouldn't want it to be. This is life and death. You life hands in the balance. You can't get free just for the asking, and nobody can do this for you. You have to earn your freedom...ONE DAY AT A TIME.

But here's the good news...you can do it. Check out the Quit Groups. Click around...not just your own group, but a few other months/years. Every name you see once was right where you are now. And they are living free. YOU CAN DO THIS.
^^^suppositories roflmao ^^^

This site works and is a great place to come when you are craving.
Get active, read up and post roll.
Quit on brother,

Hey y'all! New member here. 7 days into my first quit and I'm going to make it stick. I chewed copenhagen long cut for about 5 years and then Grizzly wintergreen for the past 10 years. It was time to QUIT being selfish and start thinking about my family, or the family my wife and I hope to soon have.

I chewed some nicotine gum for the first couple days of the quit and decided to try being completely nicotine/tobacco free. It has been rough, but I've managed to get by just fine. I've been using Smokey Mountain and Bacc Off alternating flavors and mixing them to create what tastes best to me. It satisfies the urges and cravings just fine. I joined the forum because I'm looking for some others who understand what it is like. My wife is actually the one who found this site so credit goes to her. As supportive as she is, non dippers just don't get it. This past weekend I played my first round of golf and mowed the yard, both tobacco and nicotine free, for the first time in 15 years. It sucked, but I felt a nice sense of accomplishment when I was finished. At this point in the quit it seems like more of a personal thing I'm trying to prove to myself that I can handle. Mood swings are pretty crappy, but they pass with a little cooldown time. Not sure if this is the place to post all that so feel free to move or delete if necessary Mods. Happy Monday Y'all!
