If you want to really quit, you've come to the right place friend. It will work, but you have to also commit to the program and you have to do it every single day. I'm glad you're here and you want to change your life. Now, post roll, and get some digits of some brothers in your quit group. Looking forward to seeing you in the HOF friend!

Taking a page from Stevo, my quit brother in October.
I wanted to talk a little about posting roll.

Posting roll is the most easy fucking thing to do; Wake up, piss, post roll.
No internet? Text someone to post for you.
No cell service? Send a fucking carrier pigeon.

In the first 100 days MINIMUM, you should be committed to posting roll daily, or communicating with ANY active KTC member who can post on your behalf.
There's no excuse to miss a roll post, you are an addict, posting roll is your promise to not use nicotine for the day and also shows your KTC family you are committed and protecting your quit and as well as theirs.

It just pisses me off when I see shit like
"Oh I was on vacation and couldn't post"
"Oh I was busy watching football"
"Oh I was busy scratching my ass all day"

If you cannot take 60 seconds to either post roll or communicate to someone who can do it for you, then you just tell the rest of us you're FUCKING LAZY and not 100% committed.

Congrats on a great choice, Rain!!! Post roll, read all you can and repeat. That's all you have to do, brother. Great intro...switching from cigs to dip is a distinction without a difference. The key is DECIDING to be free. You have taken the first step. We've got your back the rest of the way. CONGRATS!!!

Glad you are here Rainfire. Nice chatting with you yesterday as well.

I told my wife about my deep 'anxiety' last night. She laughed at me. ;)

I've been here a few days now and wanted to write this.
I vaguely remember my first dip, I was 13 or 14, in High School and all of the cool guys on the baseball team did it. I dipped for a year or two, then switched to smoking.
Dipped irregularly through my early 20's (alternating with smoking) and then almost full time dipping when I turned 30. Overall, I've been addicted to nic for 20+ years in some fashion.
I never really thought how my nic habits affected others and was too selfish to even consider bad things would or could happen, like I'm immortal or something.
My wife quit smoking this year for the 3rd time since I've known her and I also quit, but switched back to dipping full time.
I'm not sure what clicked, but I wanted to stop, I knew I was an addict and I didn't want to be anymore. I want to be here for my Son and my Wife.
I searched around for some tips on how to quit dipping and how to cope with withdrawal and this site was the first thing that came up on google.
I'm glad I'm here and have met some cool fucking people already and every single one of them is supportive.
I look forward to seeing you quitters and keeping our daily promise together.
Great job. Glad you are here. Stay close, work the program, and you will succeed.
It was nice meeting you in chat yesterday. Keep the quit strong and let me know if I can ever assist you.

P.S. I am still jealous of the "spousal support" that you have.
