You are committed to saving lives everyday by the nature of your work.

You should commit to starting with saving your own.

Hello. Just found this site. I'm 37 and have been a police officer for 15 years and have been dipping since I was 16 . Just like everyone else there are things I do that I always have a dip, and driving is one of mine. I really want to quit but am kinda scared of any type of withdrawals. Already have a problem with anxiety. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.
I dipped for 30+ years. You CAN quit, thousands of us here do it every day. There will be withdrawls but withdrawls cannot kill you. Cancer can. There is a reason you are here, dump your shit and get ready to live free from the chains of the little round can.

We will be here waiting for you... Choice is yours.

Hey Cobra, trust what you have been told so far about this site and your quit. Throw the shit away and make it happen, it's only for the better. Look at my name. Bet you can't guess what I do, im also an officer who's second addiction is ice fishing! It's a hard thing to throw away and bullshit aside there are withdrawls from quitting but use this site and educate yourself about the process and take steps to prepare for it. I used Giants sunflower seeds and fireballs to push through the hard days. January 1, 2012, I threw 3/4 of a can in the dumpster and haven't looked back. Hell yes there has been times along the way associated with the job that seem about impossible to deal with without having a lipper in. But trust me, keep you mind squared away and stay frosty. You will succeed if you dedicate yourself to it. Sign up and post brother!

I chewed tobacco for about 38 years, and have been quit since March 10 this year. My advice is to quit immediately, join us in freedom from nicotine! You can begin you quit right now! Stop now, go post roll in August and get it started.
Quitting is simple, but it isn't easy. Nicotine is extremely addicting, she will be hitting you physically in the first few days and mentally for quite a while. But you can beat her back, you can be quit.
Other members can address anxiety concerns better than me, but don't let that be the reason you chose nicotine over freedom.
I also chewed for over 38 yrs and quit April 1. I 100 % agree with tony quit imediately and never look back. It is possible to quit 1 day at a time. Support here is awsome. Ill bet that a large % of quitters here also deal with anxiety and depression. Go here what to expect depression is a big issue for me and is still one of my biggest concerns. Don't be afraid to see your MD and openly talk about it. There are meds to help with the axiety and depression.
You can quit now or be a fool like me and wait another almost 20 yrs and quit in your 50's.
YOU CAN DO IT!! HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT!!!
