On Christmas evening, after the kids went to bed and I was unwinding, I found myself sitting watching Netflix enjoying a nice fatty of cope long cut. What was interesting about this dip was that I was already a can and half beyond my targeted quit. I had promised myself that I was going to quit on 12/24, my grandfather's birthday. My grandfather was someone who had a humongous impact on my growth. He lost his life to complications from smoking about 10 years ago. I couldn't go on any longer.
It's now been two days and I think I'm out of the worst of it. I've been through about 5000 packs of gum but haven't murdered anyone or kicked my dog yet (kidding on this one)
I've dreamt about the day I was going to post this intro. Excited to be here with this group of quitters!

How we quit here is very simple. You will go to the your quit group, which is
April 2015 and you will post up a Day 3 in the New Quitters section. Details on how to do this can also be found in the
Welcome Center. Your post, which you should do as soon as you get out of bed for the day, is your promise not to use nicotine in any form. Since you gave up your last dip on 12/25, you are on Day 3...which means you are almost through the worst of the physical symptoms. I encourage yo to go post roll and quit with us, and you will get support like you've never known.
