Hey Greg, great intro bud! I'm Danny, also a long-time dipper, and ready to kick this shit. I'm going to PM you my number as well. I'll hold you accountable, if you do the same for me.
I am QUIT...by the grace & strength of God almighty, who gives me the determination to face this demon daily, I am QUIT.  I can not face this fight alone. So I am QUIT with those that hold me up and I hold up in return.  I am QUIT, because you are my iron.

Nice job posting roll Greg and congrats on day 2! Now keep that promise for the rest of the day. Wake up and do it again. Get to know some of the guys in April. They are going to be your lifeline at some point in your quit. You are going to feel the urge and need someone to talk you down, kick you in the nuts, etc. The more you are involved in your group (and others if you feel so inclined), the better your chances of success.

Welcome!

Good for you, I'm a 30+ year dipper and am on DAY 11. Don't let those fuckers at big tobacco run your life, get pissed at them.

Way to go Greg , Im right here with you Bro. Im Anthony , another 30+ yr dipper who's been "quitting" forever. Im on day 11 this time, and the difference is going to be KTC. Accountability, and a daily pledge to stay quit (and be quit for yourself, your family, and KTC family}. I didn't realize I needed support , but i'm so glad I stumbled on this site. Check your inbox for my number, were in this together now. Stay Strong, there is no turning back, Close the Door, and cruise thru day 2 my friend. Salute!

Hey everyone I am Greg and I have been chewing tobacco for 30+ years. I started like a lot of you, a "friend" gave it to me to try. The cool guy who always had the bad stuff. Then I started to hang with the jocks in high school and since none of them smoked....that was too unhealthy, they chewed. And A LOT of them did it. I see a lot of them still to this day. Those that don't dip at least occasionally, smoke. It's bad, what started as something fun to do after football practice or at a party in high school has a lot of people still hooked. Scary. Anyway, I have been trying to quit for forever. 15 times that I can count in the last 2 years. The longest I made it was 2 months. I have tried to quit 4 times since the new year. Yesterday I had enough. I broke down...AGAIN....just a few to watch the Natl championship game. I was so mad at myself!!!! I told myself before yesterday that if I failed again I would get some support and here I am. I just outlived my dad, who died of lung cancer from smoking at the age of 47. Isn't that idiotic?? My dad dies of cancer at 47 and I have been chewing tobacco for 30 years. How stupid can I be? These are the thoughts that have running through my brain as I approach the age of 50. I have tried to quit so many times and I finally admitted that I need some support and help. I opened up to my wife and kids and told them what I am doing so that they can try to support and understand what I am going through. I am just about through day 1. I feel great already and am psyched to go to bed with a clean day 1 in the books. The hardest day right? I am going to stay vigilant though. I have seen many people say NO ALCOHOL. That has been my downfall many times. I like to hang out with friends, bowl, watch sports, have a few beers. Anyway look forward to meeting new people determined to kick Nicotine's a** and claim their freedom back. Salute!
