francirp, welcome to the quit party. As Ron White says, "That boy has a lot of quit in him". If you need some additional support send me a private message and I will return. However, for now I'm going to steal your intro thread for 1 post only. I appreciate it.

Hey all you lurkers out there that are thinking about quitting. Grab your balls and man up. Quit that crap that makes your breath smell like donkey shit. Quit embarrassing yourself by swallowing that juice so you don't have to spit on a neighbors cat. Just get in here, post roll, get pissed at tobacco, and quit. We did it, we know you can and we will help. Now quit lurking and quit. It's almost Christmas for God's sake and no family member wants to smell that shit or drink a cup full of juice. They want Dr. Pepper.

Welcome aboard Ryan. You have already been given some very sound advice, so I will just say that you should take it to heart. Your quit group will have two men that have more experience in withdrawl pangs than most, and they will be contacting you by pm this afternoon/evening to trade telephone numbers. Look up at the Inbox(1) on the upper right hand side of this screen and open it up. It is a personal message from me with my telephone number on it. Use it when things get confusing, shitty or just when you need to talk over things bothering you about your quit...and I mean use it 24/7. Congratulations on making the best decision you will ever make. Wayne

Hi all,

For the last few years I have been in denial about my problem with dipping. I kept thinking it was just a temporary thing and it wouldn't be a part of my life for long...but the fact is, quitting is going to be one of the hardest things I've ever done, and I need to treat it with that level of respect. A half-assed approach to quitting just isn't going to cut it. I need to be all-in on going all-out.

I look forward to getting to know all of you and contributing to this mission of eradicating dip from our lives.

Welcome to KTC Ryan, this site is by far the best tool you can have to help your quit. Read, exercise, drink lots of fluid, the next couple of days will be rough, but it gets better.

Get some phone numbers, all you have to do is click on a persons name on the left side of the screen and send a PM to them, having people to text with or talk to that are going through the same thing you are is very nice to have.

Check out live chat when you get chance, get to know your fellow quitters,

Be active, if you feel a crave coming on do something different immediately, get up and do some push-ups.

Check your inbox (there is a little link in the upper right corner) that is where you will receive PM's (private messages).

I am ready. Day 5 is here. I know the road is long. Spent the last 30 years as a slave. Now I am free.

Glad to have another March brother. We can do this together, one day at a time. I don't have much experience but Ive been at it for a week now and can tell you that even in the beginning you will have good days and bad days. Getting through those bad days makes your quit even stronger. Look in your inbox for a PM from me.

srans told you already, but let me second that: READ! KTC has all the information you will need. Learn all about nicotine addiction in the welcome center. Reading intro threads from start to current will show you the common things we quitters experience, and almost as important what the timeline of a quit looks like. It is good to know what is around the next turn... HOF speeches can be inspiring as well as informative, and words of wisdom hold some profound truths about quitting. As an added bonus, reading on this site is a great distraction and time killer. Early in my quit reading on KTC helped strengthen my resolve when all I could think about was the poison.

The only other advice I will give you is to own your quit. Quit for you! The accountability of posting roll is key, do so first thing every morning and keep your word not to use nicotine for 24 hours. If you want it bad enough you can be free.

denial about my problem with dipping.

This ^^^^^ is when the poison has us in it's grips. This is when the poison is winning. This is when we love the poison more than our families and ourselves. This will keep you using until bad things happen.

NOT you anymore my friend! You have realized that you need help. You have realized that the filthy disgusting poison has to go if you want your life back. You have realized that in order to get your life back you need to rid yourself of the poison. Great job.

Read Francirp. Read everything you can on nicotine and addcition. There is a lot of information on this site. Learn your ENEMY,, it knows YOU! Learning your enemy help you begin winning this war. There is a lot of information on this site.

One day at a time (ODAAT) and you can have back a lot of what the poison has stolen. Never again for any reason (NAFAR) and you keep it. Need anything let me know. Just click on anyone's screen name and you'll see a box that indicated personal message. Glad to be quit with you.

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

You can definitely do it. You soun like you have the right attitude. The program here is simple. Promise each morning that you won't use nicotine in any form, then simply honor your word. That's it. I quit with you today.
