"I plan on chewing lots of gum, sunflower seeds and if it gets really bad, maybe nicorette."

This is a NO NICOTINE site. DO NOT USE nicorette. We quit nicotine here at KTC not just dipping.

If you want to quit you need to quit cold turkey and do it today. Throw all nicotine out.

How about posting roll, and promising us all that you will not use nicotine today? That's what we do here!
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

Hello, my name's john and I've been dipping for two years. Today's my first day. I have two reasons for quitting (1). my gums were getting worse and worse each day, the recession even starting to hit my back top teeth and (2). I know many people in my family who have suffered from cancer so I think I owe it to my loved ones to consciously avoid doing anything that heavily increases the chances of cancer, a.k.a. dipping. I plan on chewing lots of gum, sunflower seeds and if it gets really bad, maybe nicorette. If anyone wants to know my dipping habit: I usually went through a tin every two days, with my favorite dips being Skoal Mint and Grizzly Wintergreen (yes, the worst flavors for your mouth). Thank you for reading this and I hope I can maintain quitting.
Welcome and congrats on wanting to quit!

First things first, get over to the December 14 group and post roll. Instructions for posting roll can be found in the Welcome Center. Posting Roll is something we do, first thing in the morning. It's a daily promise to not use nicotine in any form for that day.

This is a serious addiction. You have to hate nicotine with every fiber of your being. When your gums heal up, will you still want to remain quit? That's why we are here. We will help and guide you, but you have to want to quit for you.

I'm going to send you a PM, so check your Inbox (1). This is the first step towards freedom, and I'm proud of you for that!

Thanks! Will do. I'm already feeling the cravings...
