Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

Another one to document for future reading:

This past Friday one of my boxers had to have surgery to have a tumor removed. I've found a great "country" vet up in the mountains in N.GA near where my in-laws have a cabin. So to set the scene I have 1.5 hr drive each way and while one of my dogs is having surgery I have the whole day to chill/hike with my other boxer at my in-laws cabin. I was very stressed about the surgery and the nic bitch had started whispering in my ear a week in advance. In my face stuffing past this was a green-light to dip ALL day as I was very nervous about the surgery and had the whole day by myself so no one would be the wiser.

Well - the bitch was put in her place because that door has been closed. Sometimes we have to fucking YELL at her to get the fuck out and sometimes she just tucks and runs by herself, but she is always there lurking. Did my cravings spike on that day with all the stress - yes, but that's ok cause it's ok to have a craving as long as you are prepared for it. I hammered seeds and SM and my dog is doing great albeit with some nasty scars. She is a badass and is already moving around like nothing happened.

I know a lot of us are coming up on our "1st" X-mas without the nic bitch and the stress level is gonna go way up. It helps me so much knowing my quit brothers are going through the same struggles I am, but by making that daily promise to ourselves and each other to not use nicotine will make this X-mas one of the best in a while.

Great post Lighty. I had a few craves on Thanksgiving, call it "muscle memory" as in on holidays I was always looking to dive out in the cold for a dip. But, I remembered my training, and texted a bunck of quitters that day. Crave gone, and we win again!
