Yes I am a quitter now. I am day 2 but today I have quit. I tried to do roll hopefully I have done it correctly...
You posted just fine. Now keep your word today and get up tomorrow and post that day 3 first thing. Yell if you need anything. By the way, the reason you failed after a month last time is because you're an addict and you didn't have a plan. An addict without a plan is an addict taking a break from feeding his addiction. This time, you have all of us to remind you that nicotine isn't going to make life less stressful and that there is no such thing as "just one."

I second Souliman and Radman's comments.

I am not surprised that your addiction to nicotine includes previous attempts to stop using nicotine. I'm not surprised that your addiction to nicotine includes the knowledge that it is bad for you, yet you continue. I'm not surprised that your addiction to nicotine includes the thought that you will quit, yet you have not quit yet, you only discussed your intention.

Welcome to a group of drug addicts. We understand. We are not asking that you quit forever...just for today. Not tomorrow, today. Trust me when I say this, you can not bullshit a room full of drug addicts. Maybe a room full of "normal people" but not drug addicts. Souli and Radman know their shit. You are not the first to come in here and talk game.

Saddle up and quit. Just worry about today.

So, Tom, are you quit or not? I don't see an indicator in there anywhere. I read some nice BS about wanting to quit and some dreaming about anouncing HOF, but no true commitment. You have only one post, so you didn't post a "day 1" yesterday. How about today? What are you waiting for? Get on back in here, tell us your status, lay out your plan, and get on with your quit. The way I see it, there are 3 possibilities:
1. You quit already, which means we should see at least "day 2" today.
2. You quit today, which means you post "day 1" today.
3. You haven't quit yet, which means you shouldn't even be posting here yet and are wasting all our time until you dump your cans.

I'm hoping for #1 so I can support you in your quit. Now, don't worry about 100 yet. Take it one day at a time. Let me know if I can help you any way. You can do this.

Welcome aboard bro. This is the place to get it done.

I wouldn't get too hung up on 100 days or 1000 days or forever. We quit today. Then we get up and quit again tomorrow bro. Just get through today and worry about tomorrow when it gets here. Read what you can. Parry set you up with where to start. The more you know, the more you are involved, the safer your quit will be. So get to know folks here.

Reach out BEFORE shit hits the fan. There are plenty of folks here to help but you gotta give it your best. Post roll everyday, get some accountability going, get involved. Its better for yours and my quit. Stick to your word. Welcome to your quit.

Hello everyone,
My name is tom and i am from PA. 28 yrs old one child and married. I have tried to quit multiple times in the past and once actually made it near a month. The thing is that I work in hospital and see the things that tobacco products cause and am discouraged that I can preach things to my patients but then can not follow them myself. (Respiratory Therapist) But then would tell myself smoking is worse than chewing etc. etc. Same old story I am sure you all have heard numerous times. I want to thank you for having this site available and for me being able to find it. I look forward to announcing when I reach my 100days. Anyway thanks for the information from what I have been reading it is spot on....
