Quitsnuff,

Welcome to the site.

Good start but it's time to buckle up and get ready. You need to read as much on this site as you can. You'll quickly see that you have guys and girls on here that have 1000s of days quit and there will be some that stumble in that are going to be a couple of hours behind you on their day 1.

This site can help guide you through a quit but you're going to have to work for it.

1. If you're sticking with us then you're going to be asked to post roll. - This is your promise, along with your quit group, to not use nicotine in any for FOR THAT DAY. You'll do this each and every day. You will need to keep your word to your quit group every single day. Your group is MAY - topic/30137057/117/#new

2. Check out what you're going to go through over the next days/weeks/months by reading all you can on this site. You made nicotine a primary part of your life and now you're going to have to re-learn some things. That isn't easy.

Let me know if you want any pointers or support.... Glad to help. Just reach out via PM and I'll help.

Do whatever it takes to keep your mind and body busy. Pay for your gas outside. Avoid all the places where you bought dip for a while. Drink water, and exercise.

But honestly, you're going to suffer for a while, because your body is screaming for its fix. Quitting sucks, especially the first three days. Embrace the suck, because it's part of the quit. Once you make it through the initial suck, commit to never going through it again.

Posting roll is the backbone of this site. It's our solemn promise to ourselves, our quit group, and the entire KTC community to not use nicotine in any form for the entire day. We make that promise every day.

You can find instructions for posting roll here. Your quit group is here. Get to know the guys and gals in your quit group. They are your life line.

Read as much as you can in the forums, and the main KTC site. The more knowledge you have, the more likely you are to be successful.

The methods here work if you trust them, and jump in with both feet.

yes, the fake stuff can help. Go for a jog/walk...hard to think about dip when you are trying to breath. Keep moving and whatever you do, dont have another day 1...get through today and move on to the next day. Day 20 of my quit after 35 years. It can be done and you will do it...get that first week under your belt and you will see the light, I promise. Hit my inbox if you need a contact to help you out.

Holy shit 3 cans a day? Well, I will tell you that the fake snuff helps me, you will also need seeds, and anything else you feel like shoving in your mouth instead of chew. Just drink a shitload of water, keep moving and whatever it takes.

Welcome, post roll and get to the business of quitting along with us May '17ers

Quit Copenhagen long cut

Today is first day of quitting a 3 can/day habit. I have gum but I don't feel like it's helping. I'm miserable. Googled for some help and found this site. Anyone know how to relieve some of the withdrawal symptoms?
