Do what Randal says...post roll, fight like hell to stay quit today, and repeat. That's all there is to it. You will get discouraged and come across triggers. Decide now how you are going to deal with those inevitabilities. Come here, read through comments, read the contract, read the Tom and Jenny Kern story...read everything.

Quitting is a privilege reserved to those who have the guts to do it. Think of it this way...you GET to feel like crap because you made the CHOICE to be free. Nobody gets freedom for the asking. You have to earn it. Congrats on making the choice to be quit. Now earn it...every damn day.

Hi all I'm Rob. Day 1 quitting. I quit smoking with chew. Great fuckin idea that was. Well I threw my tin of stoker's in the garbage and finally said I'm done. I wanna be around to see my little girl grow up.
Hey Rob. Welcome man. You have made a great decision to quit and have come to the right place to kick that nasty habit.

You will be in the June 2016 quit group. Go on over THERE and post your name and # of days quit under new quitters. That is how you make your promise to not use nicotine today. Do the same tomorrow, the next day, etc. That is how we do it here. We quit one day at a time every damn day (ODAATEDD). I hope to see you there and I will be posting support for you daily.

Rob, you should check out the June 2016 quit group and post roll with those quitters. They are also newly quit.

On the oral fix, there are fake chews (without nicotine) like Jakes Mint, some use hard candy, or nic free gum, or jerky, or coffee / tea in the bag... kind of a personal preference thing.
