Hello to all,

My name is Kevin.  I'm 36 yrs old.  I have been dipping Copenhagen since I was 15 years old- so that's 21 years.  58.3% of my life has been lived as a dipper.  Stupid.

I have tried to quit several times over the past 8 years or so.  First for my wife, then for my first son, then for the wife again, etc, etc.  This time it is for me.  I am tired of being a slave to can of dip.  I'm tired of having to make sure that there's a spit bottle in the room with me at all times.  I'm tired of acid reflux.  I'm tired of living in fear of cancer.

Today, I quit.

Kevin - great decision. Post up and keep your promise. read everything you can on this site. you can do this. I'm a 30 year dipper that is now 88 days clean. Get fake stuff, seeds, drink fluids, no alcohol for awhile, find a way to release stress.

Rage will hit at times, come here to vent. Don't vent at the family or co-workers, it's your fault, not theirs.

Glad you are here - stay strong and focused. Always have a plan to fight the craves and never cave unless you get permission from one of your quit brothers!
