Benny, I was saddened to hear of your departure. I wish you success and please don't hesitate to return if it's best for you.

Welcome to freedom. I've been an addict for the better part of 23 years. I took a break for 5-7 years in there but it wasn't until I found KTC and realized how important Accountability and Brotherhood is that I finally can say I am quit. I'm on day 379 and if I can make it, so can you.

Welcome Sir! Your story is not unlike mine, I am about a year younger then you but had been dipping or using nicotine in some form since I was 12-13 years old I think. The good news for those of us that are not that bright or a little thick in the head. There is hope and salvation here at KTC. I took my last dip in November of 2013 (wow that is cool to write  see) so you can see the proof that this place works is all around you. So its very simple, follow the path already here at your feet and stay the course, thats it. Of course the hard work will have to be done by you because we can't quit for you, but we will be here, standing on this wall helping to push you along and provide advice when asked. The next few days will "Suck" but remember that because later it will save you from yourself. Can't recall how many times I had little pangs of craves and then thought f@#$ that I am not going through the "Suck" again. That crave just melts away........Oh and with time it does get better, some say easier, I say better because we are all different. I'm not sure it is any easier in 2015 then it was in 2013 or 2014 but it is for sure better and I have tools to manage the tiny craves that come along now. Quit with you today!

Quote from: BmbrownHey everyone,

I am so sick and tired of the can dominating me. Having a backup for the backup, standing in the mirror every night checking my sore gums out. Constantly feeling like this is the day that I will finally have to deal with the "C" word. Hiding it from my wife, lying to myself saying I can quit anytime, and the list goes on. You know what I mean.

My name is Benny and I'm have been an addict for 30+yrs, I will be 43 next month and I'm sick and tired. After consuming/reading everything about KTC last night, I went and flushed my little buddy and his friends down the drain. I have no regrets, I now know I have fellow warriors out there dealing with the same crap I am. I can relate to so much stuff I read last night on KTC, I realized that I'm not unique in my struggle, and I like the accountability that goes with it. So not to drone on here, but I'm 12 hours clean and ready to get my QUIT on. Whoever is with me, you have my word that I will be tobacco free from now on. Now to figure out how to post roll call? Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Welcome brother! You won't regret your decision to quit. It's tough and it'll mess with you a lot. The next couple weeks are tough but I am sure you can do it. The first 3 days are the hardest. You'll notice you're not yourself, but trust me it all gets better. Quitting is the greatest thing you'll do. Learn how to post roll, stay connected to this site, and listen to what other people tell you because we've all been through what you're going through. Quit one day at a time! PM me for my number and get other numbers, it'll only make it easier. Good luck!

We all had our day 1 and day 2 my man, post roll daily and dive into this quit head first. It CAN be done because if I can do it, so can you. HMQ and LBBQ to you!

Benny welcome onboard. We are all addicts and you certainly appear to have your mind right for that.

I do have a couple of suggestions that m ay assist you further down the quit path:
1 - meet other quitters and exchange phone numbers
2 - arrange to meet a fellow quitter face to face sometime, totally makes this shit real
3 - read the stories of other quitters, and use your introduction thread as a personal diary of your quit because you will want to remember the bad days
4 - involve your girlfriend, spouse or significant other and send them to this link Spousal Support
5 - post roll daily
6 - vent anger here, in chat or hell call me, BUT never ever direct your anger towards another human being because I am certain neither of them forced you into this addiction
7 - enjoy and embrace your new quit, be proud of yourself
8 - like the shower...rinse, lather  repeat daily

Other than all that if I can ever help you please feel free to contact me on here and I will be glad to help.

Bitchin'.

This is the best thing you'll ever do for yourself. Plus... Knowing you're not alone is huge bro. Make sure you know what, how, and why we do things here. Get involved with the new June quit group and immerse yourself. This place has everything and everyone you need to succeed... Make use of it on all levels. No half-assed versions of quitting here... All in and own it. Welcome to freedom... It's pretty damn cool.
Well, it’s one louder, isn’t it? It’s not ten.

Welcome aboard. Glad to have you along for the ride. I'm on day 3 so far so I know your pain.
