Welcome aboard. The health benefits of quitting are beyond description. In addition to not losing your face to cancer, your bp will improve, your circulation will improve , your cholesterol will likely improve. And you will, believe it or not, feel years younger. It won't happen today or tomorrow - you'll just have to take my word for it. It will happen. Mentally you will not be stressed up get your next fix. And what that does for your whole outlook on life can't be described until you live it.

You are in the right place. You can do this. It won't be easy; at least it wasn't for me. It is, however, the best gift you will ever give yourself.

Mike, you are posting in the right group. I missinterpreted your quit date...I was not aware you had quit over 2 weeks ago. Nice job of posting Day 16 today. Sorry if there was any confusion.

Welcome to KTC Mike. Joining us means you will do a few things. First and foremost, you will post Roll. Roll is your daily promise to yourself and all of your new brothers and sisters that you will not use tobacco in any form that day. You will post your name and the number of days you are quit each day in the April, 2014 quit group. Each and every day you will post your promise. No exceptions. That is the price of admission to KTC. Nothing more and nothing less. The reason you are put in April is that will be the month that you will celebrate being 100 days free of nicotineÂ…your Hall of Fame date. Now, look up at your Inbox(1). That is a personal message from me with my telephone number. Congratulations on making the best decision of your life.

Great job. Making that decision and putting day 1 behind you was the hardest part. And I'm certain that the discipline you developed for that awesome job of weight loss will help you with your quit. Posting roll each morning is your promise to not only your self, but also to the entire KTC community that you will not use nicotine in any form for that day. It's a one day promise. Go to sleep. Wake up. Repeat. One day at a time.

Hi, my name is Mike....I waited a couple days of posting roll call before I did the intro page to see what this site was about. I was unaware there were so many quitters out there, it was cool to see that.

I had been dipping for about 20-22 years, I cant really remember the exact time I started I just know it was in high school. I have tried t quit a couple times before. those times I did not really care weather I quit or not so I always started back up. This time I know it will be different. I made the decision that I was quitting and not going to start back up.

I know I can keep the quit, but I also know some times are going to be harder than others, that's why I'm here. I have been at home on vac since I decided to put the can down, I go back to work on Monday, that's where I will have my hardest time. driving that truck with all kinds of time to kill.

The reason for my decision to quit this time was due to health reasons. The doctor has been telling me for a couple years now that I needed to lose weight and to quit chewing and that would most likely take care of some of my health problems. I lost the weight (100 lbs) and it was amazing how much better I feel. I have a condition that makes my fingers and toes go numb in the cold weather that Dr says the chew is a part of. Well I cant take that anymore, so its stay quit or find a different job that doesn't have me outside for 5-6 hrs in the morning everyday. I'm hoping that the will power that I had when I decided to diet and lose 100 lbs in less that a year will help me through this.

Well that's a little about my story on why I quit and why I vow to stay quit this time.......

Damn man and welcome.

story sounds a lot similar....I started as freshmen in college, used for over 23 years...had never really tried before until that final decision that I made....had the medical issues with high blood pressure, weight, cholesterol and all the damn medicine.....job not quite the same situation there, but can say was glad to quit and no longer carry that 2nd coffee cup around the office (yea drinking from one, spitting into the other...)

So great job so far, and you said the one word that hits home with me, and that is you made the DECISION. As you have seen here on the site, just do that every morning when you wake, then come online and give your word again to yourself and to us brothers, and honor it, and you will do fine

I quit today side by side with you today and today only, ask me again in the morning and I will most likely say the same thing, but lets not worry about that now. One Day at a Time.
