Hello. I am Robert. I found this site out of shear frustration and a strong desire to rid myself and my family of this terrible habit I have had for most of my life, since about 15yo. I have tried so many times and not been strong enough to keep my promise to myself. I am hoping to interact with others in the same boat and hoping for better results. Additionally, you may note that I am a recovering alcoholic with 3 and a half years sobriety to my name. One of the best things I have ever done in my life besides helping to give birth to my son. Hopefully I can add quitting this nasty habit to the list. I am brand new. this is my first day. I threw away the can at midnight.

Welcome Robert! You just made the best decision of your life. I was a 20 plus year dipper. It was in my mouth all day every day. I tried to quit a hundred times. Then I found this site and also had a few wake up calls. The next few days are going to suck but everyone on this site is here for you man. I can tell you after 10 years dip free the first week you count the seconds (I would be on this site 3 or 4 times a day), by the end of the first month you start thinking in hours and occasionally days, by the second and third month you get the occasional urge, by 6 mths I only thought about it a few times a year. It was the hardest and best thing I ever did in my life. Im back on day 8 because I slipped up after 10 years and listened to my monkey brain telling me I was not an addict anymore, but realized very quickly I will always be an addict when it comes to dip. So Im starting from scratch again, but can tell you from experience when you quit life is incredibly better.
Welcome Robert. I am Brad. I dipped for 33 years. Tried unsuccessfully to quit this habit many times until I realized it wasn't a habit, it is an addiction. I am an addict who found this site 247 days ago and I am quitting Nicotine 1 day at a time. Welcome to KTC. Congratulations. What we do here is simple but not easy. We post roll first thing in the morning as a promise to not use nicotine in any form for that day, we keep our promise, we repeat. It works. It is the only thing that has me quit for more than 3 days for the first time in 33 yrs

If you have not already please read the Welcome area..

Welcome Center

Also concentrate on this catagory of the welcome center, as it is the backbone of what we do here..

How to Post Roll

And lastly, if you choose to join us and post roll everyday....here is your group. Click the link. You will have to refresh and go to the most recent page when you get there......

Hey Robert welcome !

You have made the best choice by coming and deciding to Quit with a capital Q!

One important note - this is not a habit it is an addiction and you can quit and will quit if you buy in and drink the NA kool-aid!

Welcome brother now letÂ’s get you on roll on Nov 2018 and start quitting one day at a time !
