Mike from one 40 year addict to another, this is possible and the freedom is fantastic! That being said it sucks going through the fog, suck, pain of withdrawal and anger at everything. Getting to know your fellow quitters, getting numbers, sharing your experience and reaching out for help or reach out to help others is a wonderful experience. Soon the days will be flying by! Pm me if you need anything.

My name is Mike, and I'm quit as of today. Been hooked on Skoal Original Fine Cut for 40 years. Tried a number of times to quit, only to give in later. Sick of being a slave to the can. Sick of this being the only part of my life I haven't been able to control. Sick of spending a small fortune on this nasty a$$ $h*t.

Mike,

From your join date, you've been here before. You know the drill.. Quit Lurking and start interacting.

I am quit today as well, I am at Day 8.

this monkey get's peeled off our back one minute at a time.

Did you pitch your can/stash?

if you are ready to make that commitment, you have to throw the shit away.

don't put it in a can where you can dig it out. Take it to a dumpster near a restaurant and open and dump it out so there is no tap backs.

You aren't alone.

Yeah this is the place man...i am only on day 7 but i really do believe that this site will work. As of today, i can tell you, the next week or so is going to suck sweaty balls. You'll probably feel manic one moment and depressed the next but if you can stay active, drink plenty of water and grit your teeth and fight through the craves you will come out on about day 7 and it will start to feel a little easier. No nicotine at all is the way we role here. I quit today with you
Boy I sure could use a beer right about now!

Welcome Mike. You can do this...one day, hour, or minute at a time. Start reading everything you can on this site. It helps. You might get on over to the August 2013 Quit Group and sign roll call there. That's your quit group.

26 years on Kodiak for me before I said enough was enough.

I'm quit with you today.
