Great Decision numbersgame!!!!. You've taken an important first step by admitting you are an ADDICT!!! Addicted to nicotine for over 30 years myself ending at a can or more a day of Copenhagen. 540 days free and counting!!! Quitting is the hardest thing I have ever done but also the most REWARDING thing I have ever done too!!! I have my life back and you can too ONE day at a time. Stop being a slave to the can NOW! my number is only a PM away if I can help in any way. Embrace the SUCK!!!! It is Damn well WORTH it to get that crap out of your life!!!
You will be in the June quit group.

I am an addict. IÂ’ve chewed Copenhagen for 30 years this week. Unbelievably, IÂ’m still alive. IÂ’ve chewed 13,500 cans of Copenhagen at a cost of +$60,000, though the real cost is not financial. The real cost has materialized in failed relationships, untapped potential, inability to handle stress, and physical degeneration.

At 22 I remember thinking, “I’ve chewed for almost half of my life! I’ll stop at halfway”. At 32 I remember thinking, “I’ve chewed for 20 years, where has the time gone?”

Today, I stop.
Today, I begin taking my life back.

Only us 30+ year dippers should recognize that song! One month ago, I was in the same position as you. 30 years with the nic addiction and all the side effects. I quit on January 27th and it was 2 very unpleasant weeks following that day, but each day since has gotten better and better.

If I can do it, you can and will do it. Just don't worry about fighting any other problems while you're getting your quit going. When you are dieing for a dip, go eat something and don't worry about the weight. Go drink something, go DO something, anything to get your mind off of dipping.

Just worry about coming here at least once per day, reading everything you can, and posting roll call that you will not use nicotine, in any form,TODAY!

Welcome to the rest of your wonderful life.

Welcome to the site, like yourself I used for nearly thirty years before I decided enough was enough. I'm so glad I found this place, use the site as it was intended and you will kick this addiction one day at a time.

I'm living proof that it works today is day 786 free after being a slave for thiry years. I believe you will be in the June 2010 quit group head on over and sign roll call. That is your promise to yourself, and your Quit brothers and sisters that you will not use nicotine today.

Only worry about today and let tomorrow come before you concern yourself with it, this site will work for you.

If you need anything shoot me a PM I'll answer any question you have or point you to someone that can.
