HI I'm new here, glad I have found this site :) I have been chewing for over 20 years and have tried to quit over 40 times and haven't done very well yet :( this is only day one (again), I im having a very hard time so far. I have been able to go over the 30 day mark in the past but nothing more. anyway  I feel like im going nuts so I'll keep it short.

Hope I can do better then I have done in the past, maybe this site can make the difference   'no'    the bottom line is i'm the ONLY one that can give up again it seems so stupid and yet so funny that I have been doing this for last 20years.
welcome pioneer. you have been able to make it past the 30 day mark in the past, you just chose not to.
Read this again......and again....and again. Every time you think "oh cranky this is just too hard", read it again. You will make hundreds of choices every day about whether or not you are going to chew. Over time that will decrease to a few dozen and then a handfull and then a few but YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE TO CHOOSE. Choose to be quit. Every morning you need to get up, look us all in the eye and say "I will quit with you today." If you are a man of your word, you will find that there is more motivation in that promise than in any "gee I really wish I didn't chew".

Welcome to your quit. Let me know if you need anything.
Thanks show! I look at your quit date and think dam I have alot of work ahead of me yet 'bang head' still clean but it's only day two and im sweating like a pig and pacing like a mad man. getting pissed at my tree in my front yard 'Remshot' and have gone out to dinner and made four hamburgers today. on top of all that found out that I have a Lactose prob. and trying to find out what I can eat and can't the hard way getting very sick if I eat the wrong foods. on the up side i love Soy Milk :)

the only thing keeping me going is this group and my fish Aquarium that keeps my mind busy for a couple hours a day

only if I could treat myself as good as im treating my fish they are so dam sensitive to water changes

thanks for the help!

We all quit more times than we can count before we got it right. Sometimes it takes practice. You can do this. Day 1 is better than Day Didn't Even Try!
Thanks Bro! on to day too :)

Welcome to the site. This is the place to get your quit done !!

I was a dipper for over 20 years also, tried a few times to quit but could not. You will see as you spend some time on the site why 30 days is significant. There is a major funk that hits right around those days.

Anyway, welcome again. Head over to May and post your promise. than check your Inbox ( 1 )
Greg actually meant to tell you to head over to August and post roll.
Blah...Blah...Blah...You keep TALKIN....I'll keep QUITTIN

I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to support YOUR quit.

Don't beat yourself up over this being Day 1 again if you have been trying to quit
by yourself. You need a supprt group, people to talk to going/gone through the same thing. Read up, there is an unbelievable amount of information on here.

Congrats on Day 1, you have to start somewhere.
