I have been quit for 71 days and counting -Still counting because of the live forum.

I have to say, I hit a low point in my quit.

I joined this forum when I first quit, in Jan, but I hate being a slave to the computer.  I posted a few times in the roll call, but my interest dropped, and honestly, the computer was one of my triggers (video games).  My lack of interest, or better yet participation, has nothing to do with this website, or its content, you fellas do good work here.

On to tonight, I'm sure most have hit a point where, for what ever reason, a craving hits you.  Tonight was mine, I have had several "tremors" since I quit, but tonight hit me with the full force mack truck on its way to gas station with diesel fuel priced lower than gas.

Yeah, bad analogy, but, thanks to the creepy cancer pics in the link, and the live chat, I'm not chewing.

Still.

Thanks again.

Peca, let me extend you an invite to the May 08 quit group, which I'm sure you know is where you would be posting anyway. I'm not going to tell you how to quit, but you don't have to do it alone. If anything this site is a great distraction for people with a common thread. You proved that with your post. When you're ready, head back over to May 08 and introduce (or reintroduce) yourself.
70ish day funk was one more bad bitch to me also....get in here and let your brothers help prop you up. you are not in this shit by yourself.

Dont think anyone has slung a FU40 today.....wanna throw out the first pitch?

Congrats on 71 days Peca, quite an accomplishment. Continue to use the site for what you need to stay quit. But I would encourage you to put up more than 6 posts in the next 71 days. The more active you are, the greater foothold the accountability the board offers will have.

It sounds like you may be getting a little taste of the funk. Its a point in your quit where you are sick of quitting, sick and tired about having to make a conscious decision to not dip. It has been descibed by some as the nicbitch's realization that you are really not going to give in. It can be very powerful, so be ready. For me, the 70 something day funk was almost as powerful as the suck and ultimately led me to join the board. Like all of the other hard times you have faced, it will pass in a couple of days. Just be ready for it, have a plan, and use your plan.

When these craves hit just remember, you don't do that anymore.
I've always wanted to save a life, so I started with mine.

Hey all, I quit a can a day habit of 14 years on the 29th of Jan. I have been meaning to quit for some time, but something was always in the way. I had a ton of excuses for not quiting, and I finally realized that none of them were really good excuses.

Life isn't as horrible as I thought it would be so far, but I sure do have a shorter temper.

I posted in the roll call for May 08, and I think I screwed part of it up, but I will do better tomorrow.
welcome to the rest of your life and congrats on a great decision!
