I'm on day two, and just found this site today. I just joined the November group.

I've been dipping for over 20 years so I'm sure this won't be easy. I've been smoke free for over a year now and have been sober for 2 years now as well. BUT I definately think this will be the toughest, as I'm used to ALWAYS having a dip in.
Welcome Droptine - I'm a 30 year dip quitter. It's hard at first gets a bit easier. If you've quit the other habits, you know - you can't have 1 more dip once you quit. So if you are done, then you found the right place. Get names and numbers of the vets. Most important - post roll everyday in the morning. Once you post - you have promised for that day not to dip. You have to keep your word. Is your word good? The only thing we can do on-line is trust. Your word must be solid. If you lie to us, then you will fail in your quit.

As others said - read everything you can on this site. Get some fake chew, drink lots of water, get some exercise and prepare for days of fog, trouble sleeping, and triggers coming at you. It gets better, but you need to clear the first 3-5 days. So be ready for it, deal with it and DON"T CAVE.

Glad you are here, use this site to bitch, whine, complain and ask for help.

I quit with Droptine today!

Read, read, and then when you're tired, read some more! This site is such an awesome resource, as are all the people on it. Welcome to the quit brother, good to have you on board. It's gonna be tough, but we got this. If you need anything, you can always give me a holler!
