Best advice is get your butt back in here, quit, and post roll.

Are you a one post wonder?

Hey there, I'm a new member to this site. I'm 23 years old and have been dipping tobacco for the past 5 years. I dip about 1 can every two days and recently decided that I need to get rid of this bad habit. The need to quit first struck me when I graduated from nursing school and got my license as an RN. Most hospitals in Texas will not hire tobacco users now days. This is a lame reason to wanna quit, but now that I have a job and realize that I am only hurting myself, I have developed a strong desire to quit. If anyone has any tips or advice on how I should go about quitting I would highly appreciate it. Thanks! :-/ :'(
Turn that "desire to quit" into "actually quitting". Flush all your shit and post roll. Then you will be quit.
I'm with grizzly,, strong desire means nothing around here. Strong desire can go on for decades. You used the reason that your a nurse and a lot of hospitals are tobacco free. I also work in a tobacco free environment, which had no affect on me. I was able to hide my addiction (not habbit) with the best of them.

Quitting means just that my friend. Put down the poison and don't put in your pie hole again. How bad do you really want it is my question. With your intro I have determined I'm probably wasting my Friday morning writing a bunch a words for a slave with no testicular fortitude. Your up!
Here's my tip: flush all your poison weed down the crapper and glue your eyes to KTC. Read everything here. Start with the welcome center and then read some cancer stories; then post roll with Oct 14 and start reading some intro threads from start to current. Learn the KTC quit plan and live it. PM me if you need anything.
Here are my tips:
1. Quit putting that shit in your face, just for today
2. Post roll with us, just for today
3. Repeat tomorrow.

Glad you found us, let's do this together!
Pretty darn good advice, from some great quitters. Nice to see another "youngster" deciding to take back their freedom. I can tell you, I'm 24 and I feel so damn fortunate to have developed the accountability and friendships that I have here on KTC. Quitting so early in life is literally the best present you could give yourself. If you're serious about quitting, and need some help, shoot me a PM.
I'm only day 1 but sunflower seeds are my best freind I'm also young 18 try some seeds

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

I'm gonna just say that your attitude is lacking. Dealing with what we are and quitting is very difficult and requires a degree of determination that few of us have ever needed for anything. It is even more difficult to stay quit forever. That's why we quit one day at a time. I can say that because I stopped for 3 years when I was your age and then again a decade later. Each time the bitch drew me back. Today I quit for the 838th day and don't worry about tomorrow. I quit because I hate nicotine and what this addiction stole from me for over 4 decades. Freedom beats the hell out of slavery. Jump in 100% and give it all you have or you will fail, I promise, I've seen too many of you young guys do like I did and fall back to the slavery because the power that nicotine has over our brain is Strong!

First things first. You gotta realize that this is not a habit, it is an addiction. Secondly, you have to want to quit for you and only you. If you are ready to do this then the process is quite simple.
1). Post Roll Daily
2). Honor your word
3). Be active within this community

Before starting with step one you have to be completely off of nicotine. This is 100% nic free. If you are still using, flush it down the toilet.

You will be part of the October 2014 quit group if you decide to join us.

This first few days, weeks, whatever are going to suck but then it won't. Simple as that. I am almost at day 141 and loving life better now because I am free from nic.

Get yourself some seeds, fake stuff (Smokey Mountain, Hooch, etc) Atomic fireballs, etc. As long is it has no nic it is fine
