Hey everyone, I would just like to say I am BLOWN away from what i've seen from this community so far. What an amazing group of people here, I am so proud of everyone.

So far, The toughest thing for me to deal with is the brain fog. I don't feel like my normal self, my jokes are just awkward with my friends, and I feel like i just want to go in my room and stare at the computer because thats all my brain can handle! Has anyone else felt like this?

I look forward to hearing everyones story! Day 5 going strong!
Welcome aboard Garrett -- the red carpet of fog has been rolled out for you. As worktowin suggested, try to embrace it -- it'll make your quit that much more resolute, and the clarity that comes after it lifts that much sweeter. Keep reading, pop into chat whenever you can, and before you know it you'll be able to do simple addition again... Look forward to posting alongside you in Mayhem. Stay strong.

Hi Garrett
Nice to talk to you tonight! Welcome to a really great decision! Keep coming to chat. You will learn a lot and get to know your fellow quitters. Read Read Read! You can never get enough info to prepare yourself for this journey.

The fog will lift. Just keep pushing through and deal with today. If you need to break today down into hours, please do. I had to go to minutes at times. Whatever works!
Yep. That's the fog. It can last a while. I quit with you today Garrett. Post roll every single day (EVERY DAMN DAY!!). And be TOUGH!! You can do this.

The fog... My suggestion is to savor it. Try to burn into your memory what nicotine is taking from you right now. That memory will help push you past cravings, and will help build up some anger as time clicks by. When you stop and think about it... A little can full if chopped up plant stealing your health, your money, your freedom, and (temporarily) your sanity... It should make you furious!

It will lift. Mine lasted for a while. I'm happy it did. I hate nicotine now.

Welcome aboard. If you need another contact or any help along the way let me know you are in the right place... These people mean business when it comes to quitting!
