Hey jwoltz, you know what is legit? Posting roll. You say the info here is "legit", so you must have spent time looking around, get into the October group (July 22 quit) and show us that you are "legit".

Congrats jwoltz! Just a couple thoughts... 1) Find a way to get your promise to quit today on roll call. 2) We're done for today, just worry about today. The forever part is a big bite to gnaw on and will work itself out on its own. 3) There's a big difference between "stopped" and quit. If we stop we leave the possibility of a start danglin out there somewhere. You QUIT at noon on July 22nd. See the difference?

None of it means a thing, though, if you aren't on roll.

Welcome jwoltz,

First off, if you haven't read the welcome center, please do so: forum/55560/

It's now or never baby. I won't sit here and tell you this is not going to suck for a while, but freedom is worth every struggle you come across. In the link above it will show you how to post roll call. We help eachother quit by logging on each morning and posting this promise to ourselves and our brothers/sisters here that we will not use that day. This process is the foundation of KTC, and has saved many lives here.

We have all been where you are at. Trust the advice you receive in this thread and join us in the quit. Check your PMs in the top right corner of this page for your first contact.

Congrats on taking the first steps to regaining your freedom. I quit with you today.

Glad to see you come aboard. Make sure to post roll everyday first thing. That is your pledge to us and more importantly yourself that you will not use that day. The next few days are going to get rough. Do whatever you can to get through it and stay quit. PM me if you need some numbers.

Hello Kill the Can forum members,

I am 33 years old, and am done with Copenhagen for good. I began chewing 12 years ago, and will not go out because of a bad habit.

I started out the wrong way, and tried to smoke black and mild's for a few days. FAIL.....(and they stink) I researched CHANTIX (not happening), and found this site in the process. Stopped Cold Turkey at noon on July 22, and am not looking back. I have found that the information on this site is legit. Any issue i have had so far physically or mentally is covered here. I look forward to sharing thoughts in the future, and thanks to all of you HOF'ers and those in progress for the great site.

Welcome aboard. Read the welcome center, post roll, and let's kick the nic bitch's ass together.
